The Daily Marker Day 5

Day 5

Hey, I wanted to share a couple things I've created! Today's card again features Strathmore toned gray paper. I stamped this amazing floral design from Papertrey Ink in Versamark and then colored over that with Copic markers. This quick and soft card was a perfect way to end my evening today.

This lovely card was a labor of love, like any pencil coloring project is! But Prisma make it super easy and I was thrilled with the blending on the toned gray paper!

This card is for Day 4 of The Daily Markers 30 Day coloring challenge but I didn't share yesterday but couldn't leave this out! I dear friend from elementary school had commented that she and her father used to say this to each other so this is most definitely going into the mail for her! Warmed my heart to touch someone with a card!

And THIS cake today! One of my ALL TIME FAVS and I hadn't made it in years! Bobs Red Mill gluten free flour and you'd never know it wasn't regular cake! Yum! Check out the recipe here from A Spicy Perspective.

   Have a good one!

Hey! I'm BACK!

TheDailyMarker30Day Day3

Well friends, it has been a long, long time since I posted and I am so excited to start to share my creations again on my blog! I have been sharing again on other social media but haven't kept up here, so I'm going to start today and get it going!

As I have totally fallen in love with coloring I thought it would be awesome to join the Daily Marker 10th anniversary color challenge!

Here is a quick hand illustrated piece using toned gray Strathmore paper, using this for the first time also! Looking forward to trying more. I thought the Copic did fairly well, though the coloring is basic.

Well I have an absolute ton to start sharing...including jumping into bible journaling this year! Yay!

   Catch you back soon...

Winter Cheer ~Craftin Desert Divas Mini December Release~

We have having a MINI Release for December for Craftin Desert Divas! Our beloved digi stamps are being made into stamps! Thanks to your suggestions and requests! We have 2 darling sets to share, today and tomorrow!

Check out our event page here

The images were colored mainly with Spectrum Noir markers, though I did add in a bit of colored pencil as well. I gave a light halo of yellow around the images using colored pencils. I did the same for creating an area to ground the images. And then I came in from the outside in with distress inks.

You can find all the details by heading to the CDD shop to purchase this sweet new stamp set!

I used our Stitched Circle Die and some sequins on the card!

December Social Media Challenge

Hi! I'm posting today to share a card for the Craftin Desert Divas monthly challenge, our Social Media Mood Board is a great photo collage for inspiration, it helps you create a project using something from CDD and then you just post using #CDDMONTHLY. So great, and don't forget to share on our FB gallery here

Can I just say that I'm giving you all permission to make simpler cards! Nice of me, right? Though it's not always easy to keep to a more simple design, they can still be so cute! And you've got to give yourself permission to create, even if you have less time and that means not creating something that's over the top. So, with that being said, I really like this simple card. I took my time watercoloring this and fussy cutting it out and so went with a clean and simple base.

I did a bit of masking to add the Santa hat directly to the gingerbread boy from Sweet Season. I cut a slit in the mug from Kitchen Cuties to add the candy cane from Tis the Season. I also mixed sentiments from both of those stamp sets as well.

   Here's our gorgeous Mood Board...

   And the product links...

Hope you'll join us and share if you create! Don't forget #CDDMONTHLY
Also, join us TOMORROW for a mini release! You will NOT want to miss the next 2 days! I'll be back to share! Hugs!

Hello You ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Oh gosh, I hope you like this card share today! I shared yesterday...and just a lot this week due to our November Release Week at CDD! Good stuff all week long. Today we are sharing for a DARLING new set called Hello You. Actually, you can find the entire new release here! Check it out!
This card idea was my very first thought when I first saw this. To have this little gift sitting on some Christmas gifts. I so gotta make this again but do a birthday version! I used the matching single bow from Sweet Season and then drew the rest of the gifts and ribbon. Coloring was done with Spectrum Noir alcohol makers. Additions were done with a white and glitter gel pen. And just for something a tiny bit different, I clustered the snow as if it were falling from the left corner into the bottom right of the card.

Here are the sets I used...

Oh So Very ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Oh So Very

We have the best new script font stamp set at CDD! Beyond thrilled with it and can't wait to use it over and over. I used the new set to mix and match my very own sentiment!

I colored this sweet little card with colored pencils and added a drop shadow to all the stamping. Pretty thrilled at this card (this is one that I wish I had stamped multiples of). Definitely takes time to color but had I stamped a few copies, I could of colored at different times. Oh well. Maybe I'll remake another time?

Hope you are enjoying our November Release week at CDD! Lots of projects to share all week long...join us

Come back tomorrow...you'll LOVE tomorrow stamp set! Promise!

Oh Nuts, Get Well Wishes ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Oh Nuts! Get Well Wishes!
Hiya! Oh my, I sure do hope you all had the most amazing Thanksgiving. I do want to acknowledge that it's not always the easiest of holidays. I also know that some are dealing with enormous lost at this time and my heart goes out to them and to others that are hurting during this season. My prayers are with you as I'm not ignorant that this isn't just another happy holiday for all of us.
My card today is for CDD and our #CDDMONTHLY Social Media Mood Board Challenge. A mouth full but it's easy to play. Create a project inspired by our photo, share it somewhere on social media with our hashtag and there ya go...goodies to be won monthly just for sharing. Sweet! Don't forget to also share on the CDD gallery over on FB
Here's our warm and cozy inspiration collage.
I thought this was gentle, warm and perfect for a pick me up for someone feeling a little yucky. I used white and browns and colored these little cuties with colored pencils. I used the smallest circle die to create these panels which were cut from the base, and then their own layer as well which I popped.

I used a few CDD goodies...

   Thanks for stopping by today!
