Harvest of Happiness ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Hi there, I'm sharing with you today here and over at Craftin Desert Divas. I created a card featuring CDD digital stamps as well as a couple additional stamps for details, like the extra leaves and the sentiment. We have some crazy sweet digi stamps over at the shop and I seriously can't believe this was my first time playing with them!
I was able to combine a couple digital stamps together to create a larger scene, which were then colored with alcohol markers. Actually, this card came together because of a mistake. I had created a background that I loved but messed it up when adding the sky (the color was too bold). So I ended up cutting out the entire top of the scene leaving only the hillside and images. I do think it ended up cute but it was worrisome for awhile! LOL!

Here are all the CDD products used on today's card.

    Thanks for stopping by!

Blessed Fall Card ~Craftin Desert Divas~ 10/10

We Are Blessed To Have You
Hey all! It is #CDDMONTHLY time! Create a project using a product from Craftin Desert Divas, be inspired from our Mood Board photo, then post to social medial with #CDDMONTHLY. We've got monthly prizes and of course, such a fun way to share our projects with others!
Our awesome Mood Board photo for October!

I did lots of layering for the background using rich fall pattern papers. I love this tone on tone red leaf paper! It was perfect for my die cut, stamped and embossed sentiment. I added some gold paint splatters to tie in with the sentiment and added touches to the stamped images. So pretty, so Autumn!
Plus (my very favorite stamp set from CDD!)

Here are the CDD product photos and links for today's project...

   Have an incredible week!!!!!!!!!!!

Die Embossed Inked Background ~Craftin Desert Divas~

My Deepest Sympathy

Hiya! I'm posting over at Craftin Desert Divas today. I really enjoyed creating this card. It was been some time since I had done embossing instead of cutting with a metal die. Inking the background took some time but it was super easy after creating a mask. There are tons of videos about how to emboss with dies but the gist is that you use a rubber piece under the paper and die. That way the die is only pressed into the paper and not cut. People have talked about using felt and other ways but the best impression really comes from using the rubber.

I masked the white portion and then sprayed the rest of the panel with a shimmer spray and white paint splatters. I stamped the sentiment with inks that matched my distress background. I also added some shimmery hearts from Pocket Pieces Hi, which I then covered in Glossy Accents. I really think you could make this card over and over in different colors and change the sentiments and make this all the time. Love that good of a design!

Here are the CDD goodies I've used...

Always glad to have you stop in! Have a great weekend!

Sending Sunshine Sunflowers
Yep, our hashtag for our super awesome NEW Social Media Challenge over at Craftin Desert Divas. So you create using CDD products, share on social media with #CDDMONTHLY and be eligible to win monthly prizes! Yay!
Hope you like this vibrant Fall card as much as I do! This one may have to stay permanently in my stash at home- I don't think I can give this away!
Here is our wonderful challenge photo to use for inspiration for your project you will share with us!

And a close up to show off some of the dimension. I did multiple layers of foam tape to be able to achieve all the different layers. Of course, I created my own inked background. And all the images and dies are from an all time favorite CDD stamp set Autumn Wishes. Coloring with Prisma colored pencils.

Thanks friends for stopping in! Don't forget #CDDMONTHLY

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and NEWS to share!

Hey all! I'm posting at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons today...keep reading the post and I'll share my SAD news with you all. I really wanted to play with making my own interesting background for a shaped card. Even if you keep a card a bit more simple, there are things you can do for serious impact. Like layering pattern papers using the Pocket Card 1 cutting file. I even designed the card base using this file so that the shapes matched perfectly.

I used a stamp from my stash and heat embossed the sentiment on the Sentiment Spots 3 banner shape. Some colored hemp and hearts also from my stash and I call this sweet little card done!

My NEWS...well I have been with Lisa Norris, of Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons for nearly 3 years! Lisa has become a very cherished friend of mine and I honestly love her dearly. Not to mention that I have repeatedly said that she is one of the very BEST in the entire business of designers for cutting files (and more!). I will continue to purchase her designs. I will continue to purchase EVERY file in the Silhouette online store to show my support. However this is my LAST post for PPPR! Believe me, this was one of the hardest decisions I have made in a long time. That's how much Lisa and this team means to me! Thank you Lisa for your creativity, leadership and friendship! And love to all the PPPR DT! Hugs!

Crafting Desert Divas September Release

Crafting Desert Divas
September Release Projects
Over on Facebook you will find our projects being posted for the September Release! So exciting! But I did also want to come here, of course, and share my projects! Both super different from each other. Let's start with Cupcake Cuties, these super mini images are simply the sweetest. The card sentiment is right on I guess! =)

I was out of town and this didn't post for yesterday! Ugh! Here we go...

(sentiment and 5cent)

Ok- how about the total switch up with this next card!

I created a couple different things for the background. First the clear embossed roses (same stamp as red roses) and then below you'll see the tone on tone stamping with the smaller skulls from the set. I did some masking to create these trio of roses (otherwise the actual stamp image is 2 roses). I also masked to put these 2 skulls together. The sentiment is white embossed.

That does it for this weekend! Hope you've been enjoying all the projects this week! We have one more day posting tomorrow at CDD so check it out! Thanks for coming by!
