Happy Splash ~Artful Delight May Scrapbook Kit~

Happy Splash

 Hello! Hello!
I'm sharing another project today for the amazing Artful Delight! I've again had the chance to use the May scrapbook kit and fell in love with this cool chevron! The yellow's in this kit really were perfect since that's a lifelong favorite color of mine and I loved the splash of grey and blue as well!
I really enjoyed making this page as well...the mix of textures with the elements from the kit was perfect!

I layered a good amount of goodies from the kit here in the main focal cluster. I've used the sun and clouds rub-on as well as the large camera. I very carefully rubbed the area I wanted on the yellow card stock from the kit then on the floral from the kit. I simply trimmed those 2 pieces out and reconnected it! There was a few tiny spots that weren't perfect but you can't even tell with using a black pen to fix those lines! Easy and love the layered look! Happy is a sheer stickers from the kit as are the green letters placed on a word bubble stamp included in the kit. I used some paper from the kit diecut with some leaves. So pleased how this turned out and loved how much I was able to include from the kit! I almost forgot to mention the handcut polaroid I created! =)

I love this printed paper and knew I wanted to do something with it the second I opened this kit! I was happy to be able to use it here and love the stamping on top of the printed imagery. I used some grey Distress Embossing powder and a single rub on as well. The butterfly's were created using the washi tape. I simply layered the tape on white card stock and then punched away! Just a bit different from using regular paper because of the transparency of the tape and texture!

Thanks for stopping in to visit!

Watercolor Stamping Card

Watercolor Stamping

 Hi friends! Welcome by!
Today is kinda a big day at Stuck on U Sketches...we've announced this is the end of our Card Sketch challenges! I know, bummer, right? But we do have other things in store...which will be equally as exciting!
I've designed this last card sketch and hope that you enjoy it!
Everyone will have til the end of the month to join in! Whew!

The really sad part, saying goodbye to some friends....I want to personally thank all the girls for having joined in the team! I'm so sad to see go, Leslie, Becky, Kim R., Lizzy and Andrea! It's been the BEST getting to know you guys! =)

I have a simple but lovely little card to share today.

Isn't this watercolor so pretty! I simply stamped using Distress Ink and then misted the stamp before stamping! The result...looks like I watercolored! Easy!

I used American Crafts printed papers and watercolor paper. The star are the inks...Distress Inks! Too many to list tonight! LOL! What a lazy bum...sorry! And the stamps, Rosie Posie by Papertrey Ink.

Thanks! Be sure to come back Friday....more goods to spill!

Smile, Beautfiul ~Artful Delight~

Smile, Beautiful!

Oh my goodness! I have the sweetest little layout to share with you today! For my weekly post for Artful Delight!
The May kit is filled with some wonderful chipboard pieces, love those! Along with the great banners!
Awesome pieces that can come together for a happy and quick page!

Here is a close up of the main focus of the page. LOVE this picture of Jordyn hiding amongst the trees at her Grandma's house! So little and cute! The title is perfect for this! =)
Also a great shot of the layered banner. I added some hand cut banner pieces to layer with pattern paper from the kit behind the thicker accents from the kit.

These great blooms with diecut leaves! Also was able to add in some of the fun foamy stickers from the kit! Squishy!

And these lovely sheer stickers by American Crafts! Perfect for a detail here without adding any other bulk to the page.

 See you soon!

All About Friends ~SOUS May 10 Sketch~

All About Friends

Hello lovelies! Today is a sketch reveal for Stuck on U Sketches...designed by yours truly! Inspired by the trend of using diagonals, which I think it just too fun! Though I have to say that I think the Stuck on U Sketches DT went above and beyond what I was even thinking possible with this sketch! Our team totally rocks!

So maybe you can't tell but Oh My Gosh...this took forever! First the design! Moving, rotating and fitting together all the border images. Ok, that was enough but after the job of laying my paper sideways to cut...and not everything did cut! After that...uh, how do I embellish this thing? LOL! I will admit, that sometimes after working on the base of a page, I can be warn out for the details. Sad.

I ended up very happy with my TRENDY page! LOL! Ombre, diagonals and tone on tone!

Let me apologize for my less then complete list of supplies. Things haven't been to easiest here lately and writing down supplies didn't seem on my to-do list! =)

Here's what I know....black and white card stock is WM, bottom blue is Bazzill Dotted Swiss, all the other blues are the Winter stack by American Crafts.
All die's are from the Sihouette Online store and designed using my DE software.
I've used Papertrey Ink, Hampton Art, dollar stamps and more...my last detail was adding a good number of a variety of blue shaded gems!

 Ok, off I go!

Amazing, right? Just love! And here is what I created...I had an amazing time doing something a bit more on the artsy side! =)

Lots of goodies from the kit! The mist and mask for the base of my cluster. I've used stickers, rub-ons and more! I even added some washi tape from last months kit (the grey, the yellow is this months kit.) I had a great time adding just a few things like the black paint splatters to match the black of the rub ons and then black stamping as well. I added just a few pearls to the centers of the squishy stickers from the kit! So many goodies! =)

Well I think there's enough to look at without all my added writing so I'll get going! =)

Mom, You Are So Sweet!

Mom, You Are So Sweet

I have no idea,  and I mean none as to when Mother's Day even is! Seriously...this month is all I know! LOL! But I am ahead of schedule with cards made my my mom and my MIL! These are for our current Stuck on U Sketches challenge...

Use a diecut word...Mom or Mother, or silhouette/die of a mom! Simple!

I did these cards just a bit different. I did end up adding a flag/banner up at the top reading Mom but didn't get that photo taken.

I am going to keep this super simple tonight as well for posting. The card base is Papertrey Ink and the stripes are from My Sunshine DCWV (it's a new stack for me so I think that's the name?) All the other papers were pulled from my scraps!
Diecuts were all from the Silhouette store...I used a good number of images. Card base is Lori Whitlock. I utilized the cut and print feature to make the 'you are so sweet' banner. Using the same font, though printed and not cut as the title 'mom'.
One is a more blinged out version but pretty similar otherwise!

Well gosh, think I'll let that be it...I am babysitting tomorrow after hitting the gym and having some furniture delivered. Going to be a bit of a hectic day, I can already feel it. Tonight wasn't the smoothest in our home either...afraid I'm going to bed with that tight chest feeling...hopefully I can pray that away once I snuggle in! And that time is now!

 Thanks for visiting!
