Halloween Paper Pieced Fun Foam

I woke up this morning feeling in the holiday spirit, even if its going to be 100 out today! hot!
The kids and I were doing some crafts together this morning and they were playing with foam shapes..well I knew I had some plain sheets that I have never even used and thought maybe I could do my Halloween LO...and here you go! I have some room to maybe add a title or something later but I thought I would wait..I normally NEVER do a LO without the photo's first but really wanted to put this together today! Hope I get that perfect photo this year (Have you seen my kids? How could I not! LOL!) Here is a close up of the foam cuts I made. Added some inking, some brads and thats about it!

YeeHaw! We Only Need Our Pa!

I have had this picture for awhile and finally got around to it! I had wanted to try a faux wood frame, and after a lot of drama (I am SO bad at measuring!) it finally turned out. I thought this title was cute and then knew the old west theme would be perfect! All the cuts are from Paper Doll Dressup!

Thankful for you

Funny how much fun putting together a simple card can be! This image was lovingly given to me by my MB BFF, Angela. I only used Stickles for the colors, almost 10 different ones! Hope you like! Lots of distressing, inking and layers!

Life is Precious Because of You

I got a few photos enlarged and was so excited and challenged to come up with ideas on what to do for them! There is not too much room left after using a 8x10 so this is primarily all title... I used letter charms, handwriting, Graphically Speaking (precious) and then punch and hand wrote on textured paper.

I used oversized flowers here but still feel it needed a little something so I hand drew and cut out swirls on handmade sticker paper. I also used my white chalk pen for doodling and distressed all the paper edges. Thanks for looking and I hope you all are doing well!

Birds of a Feather

I almost freaked when I actually got this stunning picture of the two of them! They are such a duo! (oh I think I just got another title idea! LOL!)
I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with this picture...what title and images to go together and I thought that old saying was pretty cute!
This is my first time really doing my own paper piecing. Gosh I just wish it would have photographed as good as it does look in person! Don't ya hate that! I used textured paper, glitter paper, printed paper, brads, fiber, twine, glitter..even made a nest with eggs! I LOVED this and had SO much fun making it!
This is currently my favorite technique..using Ultra Thich Embossing Enamel to give things that epoxy look! Because I did so many layers and had so many letters I decided just to glitter a couple instead...and to top it off I gave it a twine bow (not so easy to do!)

This is the partridge from Joys of the Season but I wanted more detail and added the wing to it...doodled some and added stickles (which almost did not photograph at all!) I don't know if you can tell but the word Feather had the same paper as the bird house, to make it show up a little better to overset it with a layer of white. That also does not show up well in the main picture but looks great in person.

First Day of School

Wow has it been forever or what? Do you all even remember who I am? LOL!
I had been out a computer for awhile but I have been crafting!
Okay so here is the Scotti's first day of school! Paper was from a Target store $1 section. And the black was a small black paged journal I had and I simply pulled out the pages!
I think my favorite thing is when it hit me that I should have him write his name instead of doing to with a font cartridge...what a big difference there is already in his handwriting as that first week in school! Sadly by the time I post these I can never remember the font I used! LOL! Pencils are from Locker Talk and the clipboard from Fabulous Finds.

This page is a little busy, I like it and then don't like it....don't know I had that happen before! A couple of the prints are from the mat stack DCWV school stack.

Here I really wanted to pull out some numbers and also it needed just a bit something more then just the paper...and also shown is some journaling...

I really wanted to try and use all the photo's from that day, well that did not happen but I was close! Scotti was the first in the door, first to get his name tag and first on the rug! Prezel Power is how the teacher gets the kids to get settled down and quiet...they get a pretzel once they are sitting pretzel style!

Again sorry I have not posted in such a long time!
