Funny thing from our weekend swarm last week is that this is the only thing I did...LOL! But heck, I think its always a lot more fun to do other peoples stuff then my own! Ok back to the LO...papers from Bazzill and KI Memories. Cricut font Storybook. Stamping with Versamark to the yellow paper as well as the blue leaves. Some random ribbons. Owls compliment of my GF Jennifer by Forest Friends. And pearls are Liquid Pearls by Ranger.

Hope you guys will take a spin on this Triple Challenge...this was a lot of fun to do and thank you to add the participating DT members!

TCS Halloween Challenge

What is Halloween without black, green and purple?...I love that certain colors remind us about can find inspiration in so many daily things to add to your holiday crafts! Like the random fibers I found!

The Cuttlebug Spot

I got these amazing DOLLAR stamps, yes a buck from our local craft store Richards. I embossed him in white powder and then the saying in silver tinsel (has a ruff texture to it, an accidental purchase that I ended up loving!). Added a metal dot to his eye (can you see me in it?)

I used 3 CB folders here...I actually kept adding layers to this card...I started with the background only and the purple embossed, added the simmered printed paper embossed with the spider web, added the purple along the side and then the black torn of additions to this one!

I want to thank Nilda and the DT at The Cuttlebug Spot for all their FUN FUN FUN examples to the challenges! xoxo!

SOUS Challenge October 23

Well I am off for the weekend to my scrap retreat with my swarm girlfriends! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll be checking in bright and early monday morning! gotta see this weeks sketch and what the other DT gals did with it...LOVED this one!

Another fun and yet, just a bit tough for me, sketch by Page Maps from Stuck on U Sketches! We have recently hit 100 followers and are very thankful to all our friends there and for the great gals going our challenges! Big SMOOCH!

Paper is K and Company and DCWV Printed paper here is from DCWV and I cut out the words from printed paper and backed with cardstock. Tied twine to Falling Leaves and embellished a touch with tiny spots of Liquid Pearls. Pumpkin was just pieced together and inked and distressed.

Not sure how this photographed but the black spots were turned into spiders and then I used my new Distressed Stickles for the first time on the orange and straw colored spots! Tags were distressed with Shabby Shutters, green ink.

Hope you all like and please check out our blog for more examples!

My Monsters and Stuck on U Sketches Blog Candy!

Here is a little blog candy we are offering over at Stuck on U Sketches, as a thank you to our followers...we are nearing 100! Each of us are beyond thrilled at the support you all have shown we are saying THANKS!
12 ribbons in the colors of the holiday seasons! Hope you like!!!

Well I am beyond thrilled with this one! While awake at night with the baby I had an idea for these guys...a few nights later right at the kids bedtime I was inspired to sketch these out and then days and days later got to make them! So these guys were in the works for 2 weeks! LOL!

I used my decorative scissors to cut the orange paper which I laid down on an angle, distressed with black ink, as well as the rest of the papers. Paper is DCWV Fall stack, 2008. I have not seen this years yet but am sure I will want it!

I hand wrote Goul Times, Spirited Fun around the outside with the date as I did not have too much room for anything else after I got all the elements put onto the page.

All the face shapes were designed on CDS. The same basic oval was used and different "tops" added.
Thugmond! I thought I told you to stay out of the swamp!

Mummy Rat (named by Scotti)~

I cut stripes of paper, layered the heck out of them, distressed with the old paper distress ink, popped a few. His pet mice are stickers.

I hand cut his hair and welded an oval and 2 circles for his fabulous nose! Thats my favorite part! LOL! Reminds me of my Dad!

Now the eye balls and warts are from a hole punch and I added drops of Glossy Accents! I couldnt believe how much they look like Rain Dots...looks like I found a way to make my own!

Frankie's pet spider is a brad from the dollar section at Target.

Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Stuck on U Sketches Oct 16th Challenge

Well this weeks sketch was for a single LO however after my recent trip to the pumpkin patch with the kids I knew I had to adapt this into a 2 pager! I drew the sketch and played with a design for page 2 (sketch is the second page here, I sketched the 1st page). It ended up a bit different because of the papers I used but I am super pleased with this!

FALL in love with ME! My baby boy Cody, at almost 4 months!

Page 1~ FALL in love...fonts used are Plantin Schoolbook and George. Paper is Bazzill and DCWV. Embellies are chipboard by American Crafts and K&Co (I think).

Page 2~ with ME...(this is the actual sketch from our challenge).

Detail of title...was inked with Bronze and Chestnut cat eyes for the lower case words, the upper case was done with chipboard (aka a cereal box) and covered with sticker back metal sheets from Mrs Grossman's. Having that adhesive backed made it SO much easier! I did cut a shadow as well because I wanted it to stand out more. This photo you can see the rhinestone used for the dot on letter I, I also used Liquid Pearls for the first time to accent the upper case words. They are not all very even but I do like the look!

Well one of the reasons that this took so long was all the distressing and inking. Each paper edge was distressed and inked (Tim Holtz distress inks) with at least 2 to 3 colors! All in all there are about half a dozen inks used in this LO. I distressed with inks and sandpaper to the chipboard, added Ranger Crackle Accents, fun wire in black and hand drew some swirls with metallic sharpie.

I think that about covers it! LOL! Like that wasn't enough, huh? I am pooped now and am off to watch one of my favorite movies..Disney's Ichabod Crain!

TCS Halloween Treat Holder Challenge

This weeks challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot...a treat holder! Well this isn't as fun as filled with candy corn..and I have the candy corn but am trying to hold off opening it! LOL! This is mini sized, maybe about 3 1/2 inches high and darn cute!

This shows the inside and the dimension. The ghost and the spider are from Paper Doll Dressup. The actual holder itself I made by hand...hand drew and cut the candy corn and just made a little box to adhere it to. One thing you can not see very well is the Stickles...outlining the ghosts, spider legs and lightly on the embossed web! Little details that go a long way! LOL!

Swiss Dots, Spider Web and I forget the name of the square one...all CB folders.

Thinking of You, TCB Challenge

For this weeks challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot I did a card for my neighbor..she and her mother had lived next to me for many years and her mother, Doris, just passsed away. She was such a sweet lady and she will be greatly missed!

The challenge was to go monochramtic...I thought this was a nice and simple card...just want them to know I am thinking of them. I used a couple CB folders and used distressed embossing powders over the whole card (that didn't work too well by the way! lol!) I also stamped my saying with black over gold ink and then embossed that with clear powder. Oh and the circle stamp image was Martha and that was embossed also with the distress powder.

So lots of embossing done here...I am enjoying TCS challenges so that I can use some techniques that I love but don't use near enough!

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

Well now I am on a challenge roll! LOL!

This is for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge blog...a fabulous place to find inspiration for that cute lil' machine!

This weeks challenge is a Breast Cancer Awareness card! Gotta love and support that! Huh ladies?

I look foward to participating now more often with them!

CB folders used were Distressed Stripes (my new fav) and Swiss Dots (old fav)! I embossed (wet) the tree image white on white and love that look! The owl is done in pink ink but has details embossed as well (clear to show pink still)! Stamps are from J's, sorry I took them out of the packaging and don't remember the name! Clear flower embellies by Making Memories were CB-ed.

Hope you folks likey!

SOUS Challenge 2

Happy Friday all! Anyone else glad for the weekend?!!!
So here we go for my first offical DT project! The sketch (sorry not organized here, refer to SOUS for the sketch please) had taken one form for me and then I realized that I had these to scrap and here we go!

Paper was from DCWV Nursery stack. Cuts are from Stretch Your Imagination and Doodlecharms. This really does look better in person..there are some great prints used and layering behind the left photo, even a layer of embossed vellum paper!

Thanks for coming by and I look forward to seeing what else is created by the sketch!

My Big Sister...a mini album!

Oh Kerri...don't hate me (don't have me for being creative! lol!)
This was a night out that looks like I sure did miss out on! Papers used were DCWV Blossums and Butterflies stack and paper from Heidi Swapp..different ribbons and vellum sayings. Embellies were from K&Co.

I alwasy tell her just to smile but if she wants to be wierd...well then, she's gonna get scrapped!
Oh and for the record this was done over a month, not just this weekend if anyone is wondering how I get that much stuff done with a new baby! LOL!

Crafter in Training!

The big boys are off to see monster trucks so I thought today would be perfect for Jordyn to do her very first LO! I actually was suprised at what she putting something in each photo corner, putting a sticker inside each flower (and then she did some rearranging while I wasn't looking!)
But either way I think she did great and she LOVED it! Can't you tell! LOL!

Beach Boy

My great new friends, Sandi, Nanne and Sandy have started a blog to get our creative juices flowing...please go and take a peek! This is also there very first challenge!!!!

Okay so...this will be my first challenge, my first time using any sketch and my first LO of just my husband! I actually have to say that using a sketch was really difficult for me! LOL! This LO created quite a mess! I used so many different things that I trashed my craft area (also known as the kitchen table!)

I attempted to use my tranparency with my computer but could not find a setting for it so I went with usual my favorite would be Mrs Grossmans. These are super pretty in person. On the backside of this I stamped and embossing the palm tree image and attached w/ the..I don't know what you call them! the things on the back of frames! LOL!

Lighthouse, sea gulls, beach ball and safety tube are all from Lifes A Beach. Distressed Stripes on one of the pieces there as well.

The paper is mostly Bazzill, I had just got the Dotted Swiss stack from and think its the best!!! oh and DCWV Spring printed paper stack!

Too Dog Gone Fun

So here is what I have been up to the past couple days (well that and my son having pink eye! can you imagine what I am going through to attempt to keep the rest of us from getting it...antibac central!! lol!!)
These pictures are from 2007 and 2008. They have been special to me and I just never had the right idea for them until now... Fonts are Mickey and Cuttin Up. I added some Stickles to this title which I think added a lot!!! The title is cut to fit a 4x6 piece, I do have the cut file if anyone is interested in it...
Here is know I cut him at just under 5 and he was still HARD to piece...ugh! Makes me question wanting the Princess carts! LOL! (ok no, I still want them!)

Oh and Happy October 1st! So ready for the holidays!!!
