Just thought I would share that I FINALLY got a mention in the Chirp! I am so excited! It was for my Sisters LO that I had just posted!

What a great start to my day!

Also on some family news...Scotti is offically a Kindergartener! He had a very successful first day of school yesterday! He smiled at a little girl that was crying and gave me that Little Rascals wave goodbye! He made a friend and even remembered the stories that were read! I am so pleased and proud of him!....I am so excited that I might get going on that LO soon!

Glad I got to share with you guys! Hugz!

Tiki House

This summer the family got a weekend away together in Santa Cruz, Ca. We rented a hilarious house all in Hawiian theme (which was greatly overdone in the most tacky, but fun, way!)
Cody was only about 10 days old, I had ants in my bed and we spent lots of time watching surfers (poor me, huh?). LOL!
I took my lead from Lifes A Beach here for the tiki's...but wanted them a certain way and went ahead and did them myself! I had the perfect crackle paper and used my Distress Inks, which gave the exact look I was after!

Hooka-la-la-lei-le!

Font is from Lifes A Beach, popped with "cereal" chipboard. Distressed and markered for a bit more detail, the letters got just a bit lost with the background paper.
All paper is DCWV.

Thats it for this week! Thanks for looking!

Sisters (MY CRICUT CHIRP DEBUT!)

This picture of Amy and Katie is JUST gorgeous! They are both such beauties!
I had a wonderful time playing with products on this LO... Font is Opposites Attract...Here is the fun...flowers are from a clear stamp set I got on clearance at WM for $2.50! Perfect price for cheap old me! LOL!

These were flocked, embossing with black and also silver tinsel (which is ruff in texture). Gems added and a silver metallic pen...Also there is a large flower done over the printed simmered paper here, that was done with Versamark and dusted with Pearl Ex. I think there is a whole other world out there in possibilities with this product and I am very excited to use it more often! (apparently Pearl Ex is similar, if not the same thing, as many eyeshadows so its used that way as well!..which for an ex makeup artist, is kinda fun!)
One more LO to share.....

Baby Shower and Sweet Pea

Some of you might recognize this little invitation from Donna's blog (Popsicle Toes). She sweetly offered to do the invites for Cody's baby shower...and just in time since he arrived only 2 weeks later!
I did not have to do too much to this page...just added the invite, some journaling on left over paper and the ONE and only picture from the day! Yeah, I know, what was I thinking? LOL!

I love how this turned out! The rest of the pages were pretty simple and so is this one but it turned out so sweet! This is Cody at one week old...I had a picture of his little foot and then cut it out to use...but then realized it looked a little scary, LOL!

There are strips of fabric stickers by Mrs Grossmans, I love that product! Cuts are from New Arrival. I chalked the sweet peas and thought they looked darling...added pearls and put in the heart so I could make sure to put in he was a week old!

So what...I did 5 LO's? is that right? Pretty good with all these kids under foot! LOL!
Thanks for looking everyone!

Lucky Ducky, Lucky to have You!

Of course Cody's baby album has to have pictures with his big brother and sister! Both these moments were treasures to have caught...Jords and Cody holding hands and Scotti showing his baby brother his all important Pixar Cars (Cody hope you like those because thats about all the toys we have! LOL!)
I don't think this pictured well...but again, I used some stickers and really wanted to accent the pictures with hearts and went with yellow, then I came up with the title and added in the duckies! Some clear stamps for the lettering..given to me by my AMAZINGLY AMAZING mb friend angelaw (who I can not imagine not having met!) Thanks girl!

Font is Lyrical Letters..one of the BEST carts ever! Stickled with the baby blue color, which is cool because its not overly glittery (same with the baby pink color).

I just thought I would add in this last picture because you could not really see the journaling too well on the bigger shot...cute pic of all the kids together!
Thanks for looking...a couple more pages to add...

Birth Day!

Happy Birth Day baby Cody!
This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! His birth could not have gone any easier...I journaled a shorter version of the birth story here.
Pictures of my sister Amy who was there for his birth and my other sister Kerri, who at almost midnight came flying up to the hospital to see him! LOL! She must have came quickly because he was still on my chest where he was put immediatly after birth!
Paper is DCWV, spring stack from about a year ago? I have SO many stickers and have decided that I need to start using them so used some from Mrs. Grossmans (who's factory is local so I always get amazing deals at their factory store!). I added just a bit of Glossy Accents to the stickers as well. I don't know how much will really show up but here is a shot of the stickers and Oh-So-Important baby birth day facts!

You know, normally we don't always care for pictures of ourselves..but I thought this was beautiful. A beautiful, peaceful moment caught on film....

My 2nd Blog Award

Thank you so much to my friends Donna and to Sandy...I appreciate being thought of!

What is great is that I would say that both these woman were inspirations to me to even start this blog...so thank YOU!

I actually not sure whom to share this with though....I think everyone I know in my small circle has this award already! LOL!

Love you girls!

Silly me I see that I got this from a couple other gals as well....LOL, where have I been???

Thank you Nanne and Sandi for thinking of me.....

Who wears the pants?

Well I think the answer to this question is pretty obvious......LOL! Font for this is Lyrical Letters, my first time using this cart! The pants were getting tossed out and then I realized I had these pictures and here I went...So I just got Tim Holtz distress inks and can NOT get enough of them...even used them on the pants pocket...I was trying to figure out all of what would be in someone's pockets and I thought of a check book and tore this out of an old one of mine..distressed and journaled...What else goes into pockets...money! Here is an expired credit card, didnt have to distress that because anything my husband carries gets trashed (LOL) I have to say here the money looks pretty real but is board game money, rolled and distressed again....I thought I would take this picture because I really took some time distressing this background paper (Bazzil). The other paper is DCWV printed paper in demin and the cut was from Graphically Speaking...I took the tag out of the pants and added it here as well, and then some "stitching".

Jordyn at 6 months

Okay, I really truly think this just might be up there with one of my BEST LO's EVER! and I have to give credit to the gals on the cricut MB LO forum...with your attention to detail I am never lacking on inspiration, so here I pushed myself, thanks to you! Sandy, Nanne, Dawn, Donna (who has yet to do a LO, come on lady!)...and obviously many many more!!!!

So this is a photo of Jordyn at 6 months old, when she still had red in her hair, normally her hair would be in a large single curl but I forgot to wet it before we left for this shoot. With the little tips of her ears I have always thought she looks like a sweet little fairy...uh no, mommy emotions taking over...tears are coming...oh I'm such a sap!
Circles are punches and flowers are from Walk In My Garden, one of my favorite flowers to use. Gosh the paper is a bit of everything so I couldnt even begin with that...I had JUST recieved some Tim Holtz distress inks in the mail as I was doing this so there is some inks used on all the flowers (its just enough to show the edges a bit better)I used decorative scissors to add some more interest to the flowers...Small flowers and butterfly's are Marth punches, almost forgot, so is the leaf punch that is done in vellum so its a bit hard to see....(I get almost all my punches from "my" craft lady at local flea markets, usually they are $4!!!)

This little fairy was from a card my Dad gave me, she was so sweet that I cut her out to use again and thought she was perfect here! The glitter on her wings inspired me to add more glitter...I couldnt add another pix here to show the detail but all butterflys have glittered wings as well as spots in all the flower centers!

I hope you all can see this right, I had to do a few shots to try and show this...this is done with UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) and I found the technique on youtube.com done by Two Peas In A Bucket (my favorite videos to watch)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi-Q170YvjY Here is the link for that particular video.
I think this is the BEST thing I have found in awhile and can not wait to do MORE! I took there advice and pushed in gems before it cooled. I only did 2 layers so its not as raised as it could be!
Thank you so much for checking this out....I really hope you all love this as much as I do!
