This wonderful holiday weekend is made better by another fabulous sketch picked by Stuck on U Sketches! =) Be sure to check out the site for some fang-ulous inspiration and to see the bloody sketch! =) Everyone came out with some GREAT and fun holiday ideas!

I really love fun printed paper like this but find that it can be a challenge to actual use. You know what I mean? The paper comes from a Halloween stack, a year or so ago from DCWV. I inked around the edges with Aged Mahogany and Black Soot distress ink.

This was my first time using Mini Monsters! What a fun, fun cart this is! I just adore the titles on this and all the images...can't wait to use this one again! I inked all the cuts as well and used a cool distressed stamp to add the "splatter". I also hand drew some tiny spider webs.



The rub ons are Heidi Grace, don't know how old those are though. The eye's, bat and door are all rub ons. Anything in black is hand drawn. You can also see a bit in this photo that the square pieces behind all the photos (like in the sketch but I angled everything) were embossed either with Seeing Spots or the Spider Web (both CB).



This was a fun one to put together. It went together step by step. I had no idea what I was going to do with this after I cut and assembled this. I started with the journaling and then the rub ons and then cut my own little jack-o-lantern face. One other thing you can't tell from the photos but there was popping of all the die cuts on the pages as well.

Hey all! Just want you all to know that I have lots of posts for this week, yesterday I posted Debbie Burns mini album, its incredible so go on back and check it out! =) Sometimes I know I get nervous that I post so much that your gonna miss something! LOL! Okay well that's not been the case lately, but I'm sure you all understand! Right?

My 8 year anniversary is this coming December but when I recieved this beautiful line Love Nest by Glitz, I knew I wanted to make something romantic with it! You can find this line and some of their other news lines and products of at Generations Crafting! =)

The title is a Glitz rub on, accent sticker heart and beautiful background stamping is theirs are well! They have these killer distressing stamp sets...some of the coolest I have seen out there! You can find those here!

I used lots of my Martha punches, Glossy Accents, silk leaves, twine and Distress Inks. Loved this lil' project and hope my husband appreciate is too, when the time comes! =)

Its Autumn Time ~Mini Album Swap~

Over at Stuck on U Sketches we had hosted our very first mini album swap! Nanne chose a wonderful Autmn theme and the rest was up to us! Happy Unbirthday (Birthday) To You

I know all of you have seen this line from Graphic 45, Hallowe'en in Wonderland. But this is my first time working with it. I made this card and tag for my niece's birthday coming up.

I used a picture piece from Through the Looking Glass and enhanced it for a little more detail.

With basic cream cardstock I punched this border using MS punches (also a first for me! what a virgin I am! hehe!). This one being Vintage Lace.

With this camera angle you can see some of the detail I added to this piece. I added Liquid Pearls to the candle light and the curtain Alice is sitting behind. I love how that ended up looking! Very neat IRL! I also added Shabby Shutters, Dried Marigold and Barn Door, or is it Brick Red, Distress Stickles to Alice.

And my tag using a piece from Wonderland Classifieds. I again used the Vintage Lace MS punch but instead of being concerned with it measuring correctly I just went for it. I really think how uneven and "messed up" it turned out just added to the unique look of it. I also turned down some of the edges which added some extra color from the reverse of the paper. I made a tiny tag and added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the cake and called this little tag, done!

This was a tough one to do but it had to be done! Even though scrapbooking is a wonderful hobby and full of fun, life isn't always. And I think scrapping can be a lot more then just paper and stickers. So as hard as this subject was for me to do, I felt like I needed to do it. Almost for me to let go of the fear of something happening to him, or any of my kids.

So...this was for our challenge sketch day at Stuck on U Sketches and here is our wonderful sketch! Kinda a cool one I think. I needed way more room then provided so I made mine into a 2 page spread.

Now this is more then likely the most simple LO I have done since I started really getting into scrapping. But I felt like with the subject matter...getting all into it just didn't feel right. I needed something clutter free and to the point. So as much as I feel like this is a little too simple for my liking, I think it may be more appropriate. Ya know? It is pretty sweet though but that may be my baby boy more then the paper, LOL!

PICU, for maybe those that don't know stands for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This past July my son Cody, 12 months at the time, would not wake from his naps and was almost totally unresponsive. It was, as you can imagine, pretty scary. Though looking back, I was so extremely calm through the experience. I guess I am a stronger, more positive person then even I knew! LOL! Even though we never found out what happened to him (even with 4 days in the hospital and him "asleep" for almost 3 1/2 days total) but I am just happy to say that he remains perfectly healthy, and happy!

The pocket here is actually from the outfit he wore on the second trip to the hospital, where they cut off his clothes in the ER. I saved the light blue outfit as well but couldn't get creative enough to figure out what to do with the fabric. So instead of following the sketch with 3 photos horizontal, I did 2 "squares" vertically.

Childrens Hospital Oakland, Ca reads the title on this page. Done in cream it blends into the white background but still shows enough.

My bandaid was handmade and the medical bag was cut from Wild Card, I think, and the stethiscope (sp?) was cut from Everyday Paper Dolls. All embossed with Swiss Dots.

As promised I have another project for you guys featuring the Bo Bunny line, Whoo-ligans! Luckily Generations Crafting still has plenty of the line available, and good thing too because it's a super fun one!

Now normally I don't let the printed paper design speak alone for a LO however, this one was so cute, it worked out great just as it was! All I really did was add my photos and play around with a gel pen!

Using that white gel pen I did an uneven white line around the entire tree (if you click the lower photo you can see better detail of that). I really loved how that turned out and think it added quite a lot to the tree. You can also see here and in the next photo that I rubbed a white chalk ink pad over the edges and inside the page to make the scene a bit foggy. A simple little detail that turned out cool IRL!

I also did my journaling in the white pen as well as adding some doodling to the printed monsters and some white little dots around the stars. The stars were cut from the Hannah Montana cart and covered in Whoo-ligans Stripe, same for the chipboard brackets above.

The title and border stickers were from the Combo Stickers. And here is that teen photo of me. I am guessing I was just about 13 years old in this photo and almost ready to break the 100 pound mark! LOL! Oh how times have changed! Ha! The two little girls were my younger sisters and the boys my sweet two cousins. I totally remember this little farm and pumpkin patch..now all developed into homes and apartments..so sad!!!

Some photos to share...

I am off for the weekend to one of our favorite places, Half Moon Bay, California.

If you drive just farther down south past Half Moon Bay there is a beautiful place to stay called Costanoa. There is tent camping, full hook ups for RV's (which is what we are doing), even a hotel, cabins, restaurant and spa!

But before we go I thought I would share some photos taken recently....

I always love seeing some photos of daily life from some of my fellow bloggers so I thought I would share as well...

Halloween Treat Jar ~Generations Crafting~

Just a quick little something to share. I have had the chance to play some with Bo Bunny's Whoo-ligans line and here is something easy but really fun that I did with their adhesive chipboard sheets. 12x12 in size so you know they are jam packed with great add ons for any project you may have in mind (plus they are an inexpensive way to coordinate with whatever line).

I used some lace that I had found recently at a flea market and some tulle and ribbon from my stash. The "treat jar" was actually an oversized container (at least 12 in. tall) of peanut butter pretzels from Costco. Funny because about half way through eating them and I thought how great the container would be for altering...I ended up pouring the rest in a ziploc so that I could play with the jar! LOL! Remember that banner from last week? Well my niece just had to have this as well...of course she thought this was for her too and how could I say no? LOL!

Here is a close up...I added some googly eyes and black gems, though they didn't photograph well they are cool IRL. I also like layering the chipboard pieces because the extra dimension looks great!

Season of Change ~SOUS October 1~

Season of Change

Hey! Aren't you proud! I actually put the sketch up with my post! =o)

I really liked this one and had different ideas for it until I came across this printed paper from My Mind's Eye and it kind of had something similar (with the rows of squares)...so I went with it! I guess I am kinda into the kraft, monotone look lately! Since I just did something similar this past weekend for the Papertrey Ink blog hop! (though I this one did come before the last)

I'd also like to say how much fun I had with the blog hop. I certainly have never done any hop like that, nothing so huge! I had more then 400 hits on my blog from it! wow! I just really appreciate the adventure and also a few new friends I made! Hi PTI ladies! LOL!

Oh and please...don't forget to check out the rest of the ladies from the Stuck on U Sketches DT! Great projects from everyone...no like really....our team is totally killer! =o)

So here's the sketch...

How sweet is this? All my newborn babies during their first Winter in the fallen leaves in our front yard. This LO was 6 years in the making! =o)

The piece that the 3 photos are on is all popped. I actually cut out another piece from the paper collection, it happened to have lines on it and I knew that would be perfect for my journaling near the bottom. I like this paper line, Life Stories. It offers such an interesting perspective and there is a limitless amount of ideas on how to use this line! I about some at a LSS (paid too much) and then found the whole line in a stack at M's!

I took the second page of the same print and cut out some of these pieces so that I could stamp and layer them. I added the dates of all the years here as well. I also added faux stitching with a dark brown pen and some pieces here and there of another kraft cardstock with a punched border. And my felt leaves that I have been usually sparingly on projects.

Close up of the title but also to show how much layering there is in this LO. Text print is Basic Grey Basic line. That was white but I inked it to match the creme cardstock I used in some of the other layering.
