July kits for Scrap with V

Yo! I am sharing today my layouts with the July double page kit for Scrap with V. The lovely blues are perfect for summer photos, thinking sky and water but also were romantic enough to use for some more wedding photos.

My sneaky hubby says he reads my blog but I hope he misses these...

You know as I start my text I think I'll keep these just as photos. You can find more info on the particulars when you visit Scrap with V! Hope you don't mind! =) Though sometimes we don't read all too much text anyways, now do we? LOL!

What a neat kit! The transparencies, the blooms (including the ones with such real jewelry like centers), the papers, feathers, doily...pretty great stuff!

Thanks for having me share!

Dry Embossed Cards

Hi

What is going on with our Summer weather here in Northern California? Do you guys know that normally its H O T here? Like around 100 at least! I am inland from the SF Bay and it does get hot...but right now. Cold, windy and overcast. Every morning lately and then slowly the sun comes out and its like a warm Spring day. So much for global warming. LOL! I guess I say all this because I sit here to write and its chilly out and my house is still quiet this early morning, well not too early, luckily. =)

I wanted to share a couple cards I've done recently with you all today. This one just for fun. I've used only scraps to put this together. Nesties, CB embossing (on vellum and bunny), and the flourish die. Scraps are a mix of Basic Grey Oliver and Olivia.

Thinking of You

Its been a few weeks now but they just had a memorial for her at her home. My neighbor passed away from complications from a car accident she was in while traveling visiting family. She was such a kind woman and she will greatly be missed! Its such a small world that one of her daughters is a teacher at our school so I kind of know their family a bit..

Here's a little card I made for her.. Very simple embossing. I embossed the then cut out the inside piece and then embossed lines with my Scor-Pal, giving it a more finished look. I embossed the small bunny inside the card and used Nesties for the window and frame. Only to bring out the inside, I inked the embossed image (and even used more then I had intended). But it made for something nice and sweet.

Thanks for coming by and PLEASE come by on friday to participate in the Summer blog hop...it should be so much fun and really, who doesn't like to check out mini's! And I have my first ever, awful, video to share with you! LOL! See you soon...

Now and Then ~SOUS July 22~

Now and Then

Hello friends! Today is reveal day and we've got another stunner by our dear friend Nanne, please check that sketch out over at SOUS!

So I decided this Summer to step it up and actually use my Imagine for more then a few quicky cards and this is my first real layout! Its pretty simple yet the details are sweet enough to carry it along...as well as those photos! =) Scotti turns 7 next month and thinking of him is where I came up with this page idea.

I'll have to apologize as I am doing this text while not at home. I am pretty sure the elements are from Better Together but I am not 100% on that. The earth, kite, clouds, border paper and title piece are all Imagine.

I added a few stickers, added Stickles, did some doodling and stamping and layering and really like how this turned out. I should have popped the title like I did some of the other elements but had glued it down too well. LOL!

I've been at my Mom's helping redo some of the house and hanging out with everyone. Hubby is working a ton so why stay at home all these days alone when I could be here and its Summer! Right! Thanks for coming by and don't forget to go visit the other girls....

Birthday Card Set

I've got a set of cards to share with you guys today. Last week if I wasn't scrapping I was making cards. Mostly for no reason other then to stock up on the often needed birthday card. I'll have more to share with you all another time but since I hadn't posted in awhile, I'll share these today.

I've used a mix of Basic Grey. Olivia 6x6, and Basic's for the whites. I've embossed vellum and layered that over the print and really think its a nice touch.

The frame, circle stamp, image and greeting are all Papertrey Ink Tiny Treats Birthday. So sweet. The denifition stamp by Hero Arts.

The print behind the vellum in Oliver for the blue card set. Now for some photos...

Thanks for looking and I"ll be back friday for my SOUS reveal layout! Have a good week!

Happy Birthday ~SWV July 15th~

Happy Birthday

Hello friends! I am here today sharing projects for SWV Scrapbook Kits. My first post with the new owner, Jules. Hello Jules!

This month was also mine to do a sketch and here is the one I created...

And the page I created with it.

I started first with the photo collage of my little guy on his 2nd birthday (just last month). And then for the sketch with that lovely background flourish I knew I wanted to use the number collage die cut from Graphically Speaking.

To have my title pop a bit more, I actually cut four layers (yay, I know!) and laid each showing the edges and topped with Picket Fence Distress Stickles.

As you all know by now. I am big into stamping on my layouts and was able to add some goodies in here. The tag, the number 2 card is actually stamps as well and cut out. I've used a Basic Grey flower, button and chipboard.

I've got to show you this alone...this boy has my heart. I've never met a sweeter or more lively little boy (okay his big bro was pretty close...hehe!)

I had this idea because I really wanted to show more of this number die cut, plus it was some work getting it off the cutting mat and all the pieces removed. So I knew if I put the photos on tabs that I could lift it and have a hidden journal area as well.

Embossed card is CB (too cute!). At the top I used a couple more number 2 stamps and stamped in Versamark under Cody's name (letter stickers are Bo Bunny). Happy Birthday stamp is from Papertrey Ink, cut with Nesties and added a WM sticker. Almost forgot but DP is by Sassafrass Lass, Bungle Jungle. Cardstock varies from my stash.

Wow, you sick of this yet? But there was so much little detail that I really wanted to share it all...
Thanks for coming by today...

True Friends

True Friends

Hey gals, just a quickie for you! Wanted to share this card I made for my best friends birthday. Not birthday themed but not all cards need to be. And I knew this sentiment from a new stamp set was perfect. Plus this was a great way to use up some small scraps left over from a Basic Grey.

This was really fun using things from my stash, things I had at hand. Stamps, punches, twine, flowers and a brad. I used a white gel pen to add some touches to the large friend stamp and the bees. The bee stamp was a single stamp but I cut it apart because I knew I'd get more uses that way! Don't bee afraid to try that with your own! =)

And I'll be back in a couple days with an original sketch and a layout! See you soon...

Our Family Tree ~SOUS July 8th~

Our Family Tree

It's friday! A short week due to the 4th of July and we're all happier for it! LOL! Today is reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and we have an original sketch today by Nanne! Yay! And just as a hint, you'll be seeing more from us! =)

Living in Livermore, Ca. We have some really beautiful trails and a lake nearby. This is actually just minutes down the rode from us. A large hill overlooking our valley and then the other side of the hill is a lake. Its just lovely. We hike this hill on occasion and even brought up our little Cody! =) Oh how I miss him being so little!

Paper is the Green Stack by DCWV. Prima flowers and Iamroses leaves. I used a couple punches and some chippies from my stash. All edges distressed to show white core. I kept this simple but thought that was appropriate for the pattern paper and the vibe to the page. Pretty sweet though...love this little family photo! =)

Thanks for coming by and see you over at SOUS...do stop in and take a peek at the rest of the team!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope my State wide friends have a fabulous and fun Independence Day! Wish we could all be together! =)

Wanted to pop on today and share a card I made for the hostess of the party we are going to tonight. Just something quick to thank her for having us over.

I was lucky this past weekend to hit up my favorite flea market and my craft lady and I picked up this large MS punch (which reminds me so much of 4th of July decorations), the EK Success Chinese Knot and another punch, clear stamp and a couple more things for $26! =)

This came together quickly as I found this image already colored (when did I do that?) The rest was putting it together and added a bit of Stickles.

My best friends son's birthday is today and I made him a red, white and blue birthday card but saved it into my camera memory, not onto a chip and I don't know how to get that on here. So just this to share today.

Again, have a great day my friends!
