Stand Strong ~Artful Delight September Kit~

Stand Strong

Hi all! I have a fun and bold layout to share today using the lasts of my September scrapbook kit from Artful Delight! I love, love these prints and was able to use it sparingly so that I'd have enough to use on other projects. I had the idea for this design but trimming the text print on the lower half of the page. Then the idea came to cut and weave the blue using a circle as a base for my photo. It's fun to see pages come together!
I had a great time playing with the chipboard pieces! For a couple extra clouds I simply traced the chipboard pieces and hand cut a couple in a coordinating print from the kit. I added some stickers from the set and black letter stickers from a previous kit. I die cut some leaves using paper from the kit as well.
A simple page but pretty bold on its own with the papers! I think the inking helped as well...

This family photo was taken during VBS this year and the theme was...Stand Strong! I played with editing the photo to have it fit better into this color scheme and like how it turned out...if only I could of had my youngest looking at the camera! LOL!

Thanks for stopping in! Happy Tuesday! LOL!

Trick or Treat 3D Frame ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge Stars~

Trick or Treat 3D Frame

I am sooooo terribly excited to share this project with you! Easily a favorite project for me, so far this year! I guess that also has something to do with this being off-the-page. So something different, ya know? I was curious about how sturdy this 3D frame would be from the Silhouette store and I'm very happy with it!

How about I not forget what this project is about our new Die Cut Challenge at Stuck on U Sketches...

Easy! And I was so in love with these stars that I have another project coming up (maybe next month?) that will have this sparklers on it as well!

I've seen clips before and am looking forward to some fellowship, laughter and some attention just for me! =) Plus it's a Friday night even and Saturday morning which means the kids are heading to my parents and my youngest sis said she'd be in charge! I am SO babysitting someday for her! LOL!

100 Days of Tombow!

I was lucky enough to be contacted by the wonderful company Tombow and was asked if I'd like to participate in the 100 Days of Tombow at their blog! Most of us crafters obviously know the name...but even if the name doesn't ring a still may have some of their stuff in your stash! Personally I almost exclusively craft with their Tombow Mono Multi glue but I had the chance to use their tape runner and really, really like it! And the size is so handy!

I also got to play with some of their amazing pencils...the Irojiten Color Dictionary Pencils. Loved. Creamy, vibrant and perfect. Plus loved the packaging, so cool!

I did some background stamping over pattern paper using clear embossing powder. This old Stampin Up (garage sale find) stamp was embossed in white. And colored in using the beautiful set of Tombow pencils. Totally loved the look of the coloring on kraft card stock. The colors worked well together and shaded perfectly.

To add color on the inside I simply used a ruler and the pencils and drew lines!

For the next card I used the markers, Groovy. Using the same stamp, I first brushed on each color I wanted on the stamp and stamped using a positioning tool. Same pattern paper as the first card, different coloring tool. Markers vs pencils. Love the different looks! Then to bring a little more color, I lightly used the brush tip on the marker to draw around a bit of the stamped image.

I also stamped over everything at the end with a swirl stamp in white ink.

Same inside as the first card! LOVED adding the color that way!

My Minds Eye, patterned kraft
Papertrey Ink kraft (card 1)
white, blue and red card stock from stash
Hero Arts woodgrain (card 1)
Hero Arts cling flourish (card 2)
Papertrey Ink Fabulous Frames (both cards, sentiments)
Stampin Up, large floral
Liquid Pearls (card 1)
Martha Stuart butterfly punch and gems (card 2)

Thank you SO much Tombow for including me in this wonderful celebration of your super fab products! What a treat this Summer!

Because of You ~Artful Delight September Scrapbook Kit~

Because of You

Do you know that I love Tuesday's? I love Monday's, almost equally with today! My hubby is often off on Monday's which means family time (in the Summer) or now with the big kids in school then we get to do errands with our youngest and it is SO much easier to run around with one kid compared to three! So it's nice to get out and sometimes hit up some spots I don't go to Michaels. I don't go there often but they really have a lot more options I noticed, the bad part is that they don't ever have a sale on anything I want. So I don't ever buy much.

But speaking of about a kit project for Artful Delight? Here's my newest DT share up on the shop blog today as well. A nice project to do as I don't have a ton of photos of my parents, so this means a lot to me and will mean so much in the years to come as my kids are VERY close with them..

I had an incredible time putting together a simple collage with these incredible mini envies included in the kit. I just added a scrap of blue and this diecut word...otherwise everything (oh and a couple gold brads) are included in the kit! Love those little blue chippy hearts too! I added a bit of glitter here and there and some inking in the background.

My journaling about having the best parents was highly criticized by my older sister...apparently she doesn't agree? Luckily mom and dad don't read my blog! So the secrets safe with us! Haha!

 Thanks so much for visiting!!!!

Hello Sisters ~SOUS September 13 Sketch~

Hello Sisters

Yes, hello sisters! My crafty sisters...thank you for stopping by! This month we'll be sharing our last sketches by Sandi Clarkson and this is another neat one! Be sure to stop by Stuck on U Sketches to see the sketch! But before you's something very, very different for me. And I actually used up some of those blooms I've been keeping way too long!

This week I have created almost every single day! Yes! And not just little things but some pretty involved projects and I think I am about bushed! Between that and having a sick kid home this week, well I am ready to move on...and I missed the first day of MOPS, which is a bummer! My youngest and I will being going to church 3 times a week! LOL! Tuesday nights my hubby and I will be attending The Bible Academy class at Cornerstone Fellowship, Livermore CA. Then Thursdays alternates between MOPS (mother's of preschoolers) and a Mom2Mom group (we are doing a church wide study with all life groups (small group, bible study groups..whatever you want to call it). And on Sundays! =)

Lord, I hope that I may find MY way for YOUR glory! Amen!

Amen, sister! Oh, speaking of about this layout featuring my girls! Check it out...

I like this, don't love it. Do like it better in person then these photos...I did have fun giving up and using some of these products though...

I don't know! I think it's MME????

Hello Always Us ~Artful Delight September Scrapbook Kit~

Hello Always

Yikes! A day late sharing this little guy for the September kit for Artful Delight! And using the wonderful sketch Debbie created for us to use! Thanks Debbie! =)
I had a great time picking what papers to use, inking up all the edges and playing with some embellies!
The mix of cork, stickers, twine and metal accents make this a really handsome kit with both papers with a country vibe and then some more urban in feel. Now doesn't that sound like a mix! LOL!

Just thinking a bit and most of the folks in our country about this day in our history. I'm thinking of the many, many families who's lives were forever changed...

 Warmly, Leah

Pumpkin Behind A Fence ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge~

Pumpkin Behind a Fence

My goodness, my goodness! I think I have been bitten by the "off the page" projects! Just completed a mini album (probably only my 3rd real one ever!) but I can't share that one for awhile... =(
Anyways, after making this little guy I was so inspired to do more so you'll see lots more from me this season in the way of home decor! =)

This little dude was created for our newest Die Cut Challenge at Stuck on U Sketches....

So, very fittingly there's a gate box, basket cut at the Silhouette store...all I needed was a pumpkin! Luckily there's a lot of there for that too!

I just cut extra grass for the inside and shaped a square to fit the center. All that was an after thought after putting the box together and not liking the plain inside. I wish I had known to also had stamped the inside as well, I did lay the box on the sides and tried inking a bit, which I think was enough. But anyways, the simple but something on the inside really was a nice finish...

Papertrey Ink kraft card stock
Bo Bunny (pumpkin)
all other colors were from the scrap drawers
Die Cuts~

We have lots of plans this weekend! My birthday was yesterday so I'm headed off for lunch today, dinner this weekend! Good times!

Slow & Steady ~September Scrapbook Kit Reveal~

Slow & Steady

Labor Day weekend turned out to be a slight bust for my household. My hubby and I think we ate some bad ice cream (is there such a thing?) But we both have had sick stomach's only after that late night snack so we haven't been up too much.
With that said, after the kids went to bed I was able to get energy enough to create this page for the new September scrapbook kit for Artful Delight. Cool kit and something different, a little bit more "dude" themed then something overly girlie (which so many kits are, I found this one refreshingly different!)
I found some photos to scrap and intended to do a photo of my parents (that one's to come!) but found this one of the turtle I grew up with...uh, still growing up with. I have no idea how long this guy's been around but's been years! =) But I love this photo of Bob (yep, his name is Bob) and it reminds me of my house (still my house even though I have my own mortgage now, LOL).

I did some die cutting for the title and used the great embellies included in the those thick cork arrows! I'll be sure to include every single one that came in the kits...those shall not go to waste! =)

Think I forgot to mention that this kit is fullllll of woodgrain patterns so I may just have to include a bit in each page DT project this month! =)

Here's a peek at the September scrapbook kit followed by the card kit! And there's a DT call for those interested! You can find that info and more details about the kit right here

Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend!
