Thanks Honeycomb ~SOUS May 1 Card Sketch~

Thanks Honeycomb

Little sister shout out here...Happy Birthday to the youngest of the Schaeffer Sisterhood! =) Love ya Kate Kate!

Well I wanted to share a card I created for Stuck on U Sketches along with the sketch I designed as well. Really hope you all like!

This little guy went to a teacher at school last week for teacher appreciation week! I LOVE teachers, oh man...do not get me wrong! However, with the more then monthly requests for money at school...and all the holidays, another week of things to have to give out...yeesh! A little much! Plus the end of school year gifts come just a month later! Ok, enough of that...LOL!

 My sketch...

My card...

Ok well I was like...uh less then 2 hours from not having this post on time! Almost broke a sweat! LOL!
And speaking of sweating...I'm not feeling too hot about myself. Oh, and speaking of hot...LOL, the very very warm California weather has me pulling Summer clothes out and I've gained enough weight not to really fit in any shorts! NO! Ok not good! So I've been doing video's at home and started keeping track of calories today...yeesh! But I do feel motivated and just think back to how dang good I felt! It's less about pounds and more about how GREAT you feel when you are moving...ya know?
So feel free to call me out and ask how I'm doing! Ok?

 Alright loves...laters!

Greetings Earthling! ~SOUS April 26 Sketch~

Greetings Earthling!

Getting caught up in my days and forgot to get my posty ready today! Yikes!

I have no idea how I forgot to share this bad boy! LOL!

We have a killer sketch today designed for Stuck on U Sketches by Nanne! Love it!

I know I recently did a similar page, with the space theme. However awhile back I had posted a layout similar with a black background and was dying to redo it again for a space theme since the black and white splattered paint obviously screamed a starry sky! Plus, I simply wasn't over the fun space theme...so there! =)

Lots of pictures! Let me see if I can tackle the list of what I did...LOL!

 Papers~
Walmart Black card stock
DCWV Edumaction and Generation Tech
Silhouette Cut and Print for space ships and aliens
Die Cutting~
Silhouette Store
Inks~
White acrylic paint for splatters
Distress Ink, Vintage Photo, Broken China, Spiced Marmalade,
Stormy Sky and Black Soot
Misc~
White gel pen for journaling and doodled edges
yellow gems
googly eyes
Papertrey Ink Polka Dot Basics for stamping detail on diecuts.

I really wanted more black to show then all the layering in the original sketch. Cutting "frames" out of the pieces is a great way to have the added texture, layering and prints but without adding or taking away from the background. Next time I could even cut those "frames" a bit thinner to show more background. Just a thought...

Ok, sorry for being late! Hope I was worth the wait! =)

Shell We Go To The Beach ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge Crustacean~

Shell We Go To The Beach?

I remember when I had started on the Cricut message board that I had posted a project with something misspelled. I had comments letting me know, private messages informing me of my error. I laughed...and then deleted the comments, LOL!
I bring this up because thanks guys...I already know!
 My title...
But let me tell you, I had a heck of a time deciding on paper and font. This was my third time cutting and so my 3rd set of pattern papers, another new font...

Shell We TO GO The Beach?

 Oops...

 Oh well...moving along...

This fun challenge....let me see if I can get this spelled right (auto corrector ready?) our
Stuck on U Sketches die cut challenge...

Crustacean (shells, shelled sea creatures, crab, lobster, etc)

I was inspired by the Project Life like block designing for this and really enjoyed creating this way!

For someone that never knows what I've used...writing thing down in a notebook as I create is super helpful! And all for YOU! =)  Can you stand how much printed paper I used! Geez, I literally had out 10 stacks of paper choosing prints for this! That hardest time to date on picking papers! Ugh!

Hope you love! For the struggle this was, I'm really happy with the turn out...these photos each, are treasures to me! They each deserve their own scrapbook page...maybe someday...

 Well thanks for stopping by!

Love You To The Moon And Back ~SOUS Sketch Challenge~

Love You To The Moon And Back!

Oh darn it! I just realized I had an idea for this layout and didn't do it! LOL! Ok, gosh...next time, right? Too many ideas, too little crafty time! =)

I am thrilled today to be sharing my double layout created by another crazy fantastic sketch designed by my very own bestie, Ms. Nanne! Love the sketch! Wanna see it? Gotta head over to the Stuck on U Sketch site to view it! =) I had to tweak the sketch a bit for my added photos but tried to get the 'bones' of it as well represented as I could!

Originally I was pulling photos of all 3 kiddo's. But then couldn't decide on pictures and found this silly collection and decided to go for it and do a "boy" page but girl it up a bit more by adding in pink (which was inspired by the pink in the printed paper).

Can I just say that I LOVE die cutting! Creating these little images, the rockets. But anytime I make something....they are always so cool! I love that you really can make something so awesome and just use the machine and paper! Love that!

 Here's what I used...mostly dies and paper! =)

Papers~
DCWV Generation Tech
(rockets and stars all pieces from my stash)
Die Cutting~
Silhouette Online
Totally Jamie and Sweet Afron (rockets), PPbN (moon and stars) and
 Kolette Hall (title)
Embellie~
only heart stickers from WM! =)

I had such a good time making this that I decided to design another double layout...you'll be seeing that soon, so look out! =)

 See ya!

Sea How Great Life Is... ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge Sea Life~

Sea How Great Life Is...

 Hiya friends!
Today for our newest Friday challenge at Stuck on U Sketches we are sharing a new Die Cut Challenge and we're going under for it....

 Sea Life

There are many, many ways to go on this! Funny though because when I was coming up with all my ideas, they were really "beach" not "sea" so I had to keep moving idea to idea! LOL! But am happy with the funny underwater scene I created with a great wave flourish from the Silhouette store.

Pretty simple and love the added brads. I felt like it needed a little something extra to bring the color around the page from the sea critters. The brads worked out great!

Here's what I used...

 Papers~
We R Memory Keepers; Down on the Boardwalk
(yes, I made this page first and the card I posted last Wednesday, apparently
I am feeling the beach theme, ready for Summer...not Spring!)
Die Cuts~
Silhouette Store; Totally Jamie sea creatures
Waves flourish
Dafont.com
Embellies~
Basic Grey brads
white gel pen and white chalk pen for doodling
googly eyes

I had to get all these photos on...from the beach trip almost every single photo is scrap worthy! I almost hate having that many good photos because I honestly want to scrap them all! And all my sizes would end up making a huge mini...so not really mini. Hum? LOL!

Can't wait to see what you all create with this theme...Happy Friday! Last few days of Easter break...

Beach Balls Card ~SOUS April 3 Card Sketch~

Life is a Big Beautiful Beach

Hi guys! Hope everyone had an amazing Easter!
Ours was low key but good family time! Enjoying the lovely weather and playing outdoors, watched a movie and had good food! Was a good day! The day before we got my entire family to attend church! My hubby calls them Creasters. You only go on Christmas and Easter! =)
At least them came and heard...

So today is a card sketch challenge for Stuck on U Sketches. I loved the sketch, wish I had the items to follow it exactly as Nanne had designed. But I was way short on time and had this paper pack open and loved this embossed sticker. With the embossed background and added brads, simply but lovely and fun, I think!

Things have been pretty busy for me, mostly last month and things are now quieting down. However now we are updating our living room, our only "family" room in the house and so now things are in disarray here. It's always something, right? I bring this up mostly as an explanation for why no one has seen me comment...pretty much anywhere, for awhile. Ah. I stink! Sorry girls! Love ya!

Ok, see ya back Friday with something along this theme...I may just be thinking ahead of season...

Papers~
We R Memory Keepers, Down on the Boardwalk
(prints and sticker)
PTI kraft card base
Embellies~
yard and jute
Basic Grey brads (on beach balls)
Paper Studio green floral brad)
Martha leaf punch
Embossing~
Sizzix (sorry don't have the names!)
Ink~
Vintage Photo

Ok darlings! See ya back soon!
