Oh Honey! ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge Disney~

Oh Honey!

Cheater! Cheater! I cheated....yeah, always been that kid to tell on myself. Yeesh. So I knew we had a Die Cut Challenge coming up for Stuck on U Sketches...

 Disney!

And then I had NO idea for the challenge which is pathetically sad since I'm such a Disney fan. But then I remembered ions ago I had made some Pooh cuts. Before I had many Cricut carts so this was years ago by now! Anyways...I started to design this page. Using Cricut Craft Room for the bee's and honey pot (clouds were also previously cut from somewhere?) And then the floral frame and leaf border, along with my free font from Dafont.com was all cut and designed out using my Silhouette and DE software.
And our happy family photo from Disneyland...thinking 2007 or 2008?

Oh Snap ~Artful Delight July Scrapbook Kit~

Oh Snap

Ohhhhh yeah! I had the best best time looking for searching for a set of 3 photos. I started by looking at actual printed pictures but had a hard time finding the right size. I knew all along that I'd be using these papers and prints as my last layout this month for Artful Delight using the July scrapbook kit. So I had an idea on what colors and feel for the photos. Well anyways, nothing was the right size so I looked at old photos on the computer. Found these of my babies when they were little and my niece who I had full time then and edited the photos and printed in an antique finish. Love the softness of the way those turned out.

Okay back to the page. I played around with the papers and ended up using some white included in the  kit as the background and the prints to build off of. Plus...I love the papers so much I hated to use up full sheets so I saved a lot of paper this way as well.

A close up of the film strip die cut...in a printed paper, love that! And the large doily sticker cut in half.

I've included stickers from the kit, the chipboard pieces, other embellies included and the 'love" stamp. So much goodness! =)

I even managed to use all the textural elements in the kit...the mesh, left over lace and twine! =) I think I may have gotten a bit of almost everything in the kit here! LOL! The only thing added outside was the Bazzill Dotted Swiss paper in a toffee color.

Okay...off for more summer fun...thanks for stopping in...

Hello Sunshine ~SOUS July 19 Sketch~

Hello Sunsine

 Hello Hello!
I'll be traveling home today after the week away (well this is being schedule early so really we are recooping after a day at a water park!)...hopefully not thinking of the work it takes to finish up a vacation, if you know what I mean. But always looking forward to all the fun photos that a trip means!

Today we have another sketch challenge for you at Stuck on U Sketches and I wanted to share my design...

The fun edited photo is of myself and my youngest 2 sisters on our beach excursions from the beach house we rented for the 4th of July week! Was glad to be able to use a photo so soon!

So..I like this page but feel like something is missing...but let's be real. I'm always moving forward but may stop at some point and see what other small goodies I can add to this so that it really feels done to me..anyways, just thought I'd mention it cause I look at this and don't feel finished or quite like it yet...

Inspire & Believe ~Artful Delight July Kit~

Inspire & Believe

It is such a blessing...a fun one to be on the Design Team for Artful Delight! The kits are always awesome and the best ever mix of papers allowing for a great mix of projects to come from the kit! I really did love all the pages I've created this month (does that sound bad? LOL!) but this one is a favorite I think! Not to mention the fact that I am actually IN the photos! Cause we know we barely make our very own layouts! =)

I used more of the neutrals from the kit and the yellows. And a couple pieces left over from last months kit! Cutting up the stickers included in the kit and using them above and below my 2 photos let me stretch those products a little further!

Today is a rare day away for my hubby and I! Going to the State Fair for the first time while the kids stay with their Grandma and Grandpa. Just a day and overnighter...but good enough and feeling grateful!
 Thanks for visiting...

Happy 24 Seven

I have nothing at all...to explain myself with...but somehow (my negligence obviously...) I had missed actually publishing this layout last month! Urgh!
So...without a bunch of blah blah from me...just going to go ahead and share it anyways...using Artful Delights June scrapbook kit!
It's too cute to have left in draft mode forever...someone will see this, right?

Birthday Candles ~SOUS DieCut Challenge Flourish~

Birthday Candles

Another Friday is upon us and that means another challenge at your neighborhood challenge blog (LOL) Stuck on U Sketches!
We are on rotation for a Die Cut Challenge this time and it's a great one, useful...FLOURISHES

I knew I'd be creating a card for my best friend that just turned 40! =) And so designed this using my Silhouette software. I actually put the card together and thought it could use more so ended up adding the birthday banner and flowers and extra flourishes. More is more!

The background was first stamped in Versamark and dusted with Perfect Pearls. Then I fit to shape some flourishes on the background. Though once I added everything else, they all but disappear but I guess just added more layers and dimension to the overall effect.

What, she did the inside? =) Yep, she did! LOL! Had to photograph to prove it!

Papers~
My Mind's Eye (orange/white grid)
purples and blue American Crafts card stock
Recollections cream card stock

You're My Sweet ~Artful Delight July Kit~

You're My Sweet

Hi all! Been quiet from me lately, huh? For sure on a Summer schedule around here and have actually stayed off a computer for well over a week! Yeah, checking in a bit using my cell but that's about it! Now, there's a lot to do today! But first, let me share another page with you using Artful Delights July scrapbook kit!
I did a bit of diecutting with the papers from the kit to create the ice cream. The whole inspiration for the page coming from the "sweet" stickers included in the set. I searched out these photos I knew I had and knew I'd love to have pattern papered (that floral in particular!) as ice cream scoops! I also diecut the yellow scalloped edge that I backed with lace included in the kit!

And a bit of washi tape from a past kit! =)

Had a crazy good time creating this page, I really did! And of course...giggles all the way with these photos! Memories of silly times at our favorite ice cream shop with Grandma!

Thanks for stopping in! Happy Summer!

A Monster Good Time! ~SOUS Sketch~

A Monster Good Time!

Oh my goodness. This page really was such a pain! LOL! Yeah, I do really like how it turned out but easily one of the worse times choosing papers! Took forever! EVER! Urgh!
But once I got that moving, the rest went together a bit more smoothly...though some designing using Silhouette Designer software, then the cutting of course...and inking...and Distress glitter...ack!
Oh, and I did photo edit to give the more antiques colors. Though once I got moving I wondered if I should have done black and white pictures but realize maybe they wouldn't have stood out enough on the page..ya know?

Whoa, almost forgot to mention...der! This is for an AMAZING sketch by Nanne at Stuck on U Sketches! You have got to see it! Go... =)

 Lazy Summer Day

 Ok, apologizes all around...
I am late with ALL my posts this week! I swear to gosh that I had them loaded, that I did...but whatever happened to text and scheduling...well...I guess my head was too busy with readying for a beach vacation! So while my toes dug in the sand...my posts sat unpublished. Boo!

So quickly...our newest Project Life challenge at Stuck on U Sketches...use 2 journaling cards!
Thanks to Echo Park, those guys were easy...

My favorite part of the page is the glossy accents added to my small summery die cuts, all thanks to Silhouette store (as usual).

Embellies~
gems and Glossy Accents
stickers (Echo Park)
Diecuts~
Silhouette Store-
