Sketch day for Stuck on U Sketches! Hope that you all love the sketch...just wait until you go by SOUS if you haven't already. Our team created the most lovely projects!

I'm excited to share this sweet project with you. I have to say I actually think this photographed well. You know sometimes you just don't capture the real feel of a page. But this isn't too bad...you can see the dimension and the color is true =)

Really enjoyed putting this page together after all the drama choosing background paper (why so hard?) LOL!

February Happy Birthday

I'm looking forward to sharing this card with you guys today! Thought it was something a little bit different! =)
This guy is for Stuck on U Sketches Die Cut Challenge…Word Art!
I love this challenge because of the incredible options out there, the creative imagery! Oh so much! Just even thinking vinyl projects (which I've never taken on myself!) Anyways, really loving the DT projects and excited to see what our participants make!

So I may have mentioned my husband and I were going to a marriage retreat. We had an incredible weekend away! Was even worth both he and I being sick this week! =(
I don't share photos enough so thought I would share some!

We stayed at the Babbling Brook Inn.

We had our own personal balcony next to the water wheel and waterfall. Very romantic =)

The highlight (*she chokes these words out*) of our weekend was during our lunch break. We grabbed sandwiches and headed to the beach...don't get out your binoculars but we DID end up at a nude beach! Gasp! What a way to loose your appetite! LOL! I further embarrassed my hubby by telling the whole retreat what we did when they asked if anyone did something exciting during lunch! *Blush*

Vintage Faith Church of Santa Cruz hosted our weekend away with Ted Cunningham! I literally have never been so touched by a speaker before, or had SO much fun! He was beyond hilarious but exceptionally real and seeing someone (particularly for me, a man) so passionate about marriage. It warmed my heart! I would HIGHLY suggest you look him up. He's also an author and has some amazing books, very worth reading!

A big thanks to Cornerstone Church, Livermore for setting us such an incredible event!

Birds Of A Feather…~SOUS Sketch March 14~

Birds Of A Feather Stay Wired Together

So I'm hosting for March over at Stuck on U Sketches and have a new sketch to share today! Hope you like! I actually wouldn't mind exactly following the sketch but my page took a turn for itself and so I went with it! =)

Don't forget to head to SOUS and check out my buddy who's guest designing and our February blog candy winner!

We have some serious Spring weather this weekend and I am off for a weekend away with my hubby! I am too dang excited! A marriage retreat through our church but in Santa Cruz, Ca. Staying at a super cute romantic little hotel (I'll have to share photos!) and the we wrap up the weekend back in town with church and brunch out! Nice!

Our family has had some struggles the last couple weeks. Car accident and surgery for my daughter, just to name a couple things! So I literally feel like God had this all planned ahead and knew we needed this time away together. He is good!

Hello There Paper Frame ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge House~

Hello There Paper Frame

 Hi all!
I have a home decor project to share today for Stuck on U Sketches! Our newest Die Cut Challenge is house! Which made me so excited…I had so many ideas for this one but ended up really wanting to create something for my best friend and ended up making this 3D Lori Whitlock frame!
This is easily one of my most favorite projects ever, ever, ever…too bad it ended up in Finland! =)

The trickiest part about this project is getting all the different dimension. I used 3 different sized foam adhesives and cut lots of layers! And I mean a lot of layers…for example that teeny tiny red front door was cut 6 times! I'm not sure I could have done it without my newest scrappy tool, the Quick Stick.

Really looking forward to seeing what you all create for this die cut challenge. The house dies available these days are SO cool!
