The Gang's All Here!

 Hi guys! Happy Friday!

This idea came to me days and days before I actually got to sit and design. And then the design sat around until finally I had time to create...then cuts happened and another day to put this together! Geez! LOL! But I'm happy with the unique way it turned out... =)

I Love Dad ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon~

I Love Dad

Well Summer is trucking along and this coming weekend we have our first camping trip planned! Super excited...but that may be because we have a new camper to take! Long story short, we had just bought a pop-up tent trailer and on the second time out something broke and we found out that there was a crack in the frame! Dangerous! So the company upgraded us big time! Back to a regular travel trailer! So camping...here we come!
As if that's not enough, yesterday we had a double birthday party for the June birthday's. My youngest son (turned 5) and my mom (5+) LOL! The party was great fun! And...more then anything. I had all my best girlfriends together, yup for the first time! That alone was enough to balloon my heart for a very long time!
I'll try my best to come and share some photos but before that...let me share my card today for my Design Team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon. This was the card I made for my hubby this year. Cute, without being too cute! Right?

I wanted to share how I did the floss banner. I started with drawing a line between the screw diver banner poles. I then used that as a guide to run a line of glue. I cut the ends to be hidden under the edges. I then tied a separate bow around the popped poles. That was much easier then tying the ends another way. I always try to do my bows on their own if I can! =)

Thar Be a Jolly Good Time ~SOUS June 20 Sketch~

Thar Be a Jolly Good Time!

Hi friends! Today I am sharing a layout I created using a sketch that Nanne designed for us at Stuck on U Sketches. I swear to gosh, I did use the sketch! The placement of waves, the characters and the large circle ships wheel, all placed based off the sketch. Just saying this cause sometimes you look and can think...where on earth is the sketch in that??? And that sketch, gotta go check out SOUS and see it! Then judge me wether or not the sketch is anywhere in this layout! LOL!

Well we have been having an awesome Summer so far! Today I head to the fair and see how my paper craft items did in judging! Exciting! And this weekend is the big party for my little guy who turned 5 this week. A double party for him and my momma =) So lots of fun ahead!

I love doing these "scene" type scrapbook pages and I had created this and was also working (and setting up doing cuts for both pages) on this page for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon so I wanted to do something different. That is why I went a little crazy with my paint drops. I actually really like it and find it very interesting (and again, something different!)

So head over and check that out and make sure to follow the PCS blog!

Since the stamps are officially being shared today I get to share the set I used for this card! Cute, right!

Crazy as I may be, I knew I really wanted to do some paper piecing on the surfboards. Believe it or not, they really were not that difficult to cut apart! Also have it embossed made cutting the edges a little easier and more forgiving when paper piecing.

I am telling you, this card is so darn beachy! LOL! Makes me excited for brightly colored towels on the sand…we are practically living at the beach this Summer and can't wait!

Papers~

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon Vacation Blog Hop

Are We There Yet?

So from the first day I started on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon Design Team I had been waiting to make a page using Mr. Big Foot. My oldest always being a big Sasquatch fan (yes, he watches and believes the shows! LOL) I knew I'd need to make a page for him. So these photos were from last year's Yosemite trip.

Today is a hop day for PPPR, our theme...vacation! I am crazy in love with the new Are We There Yet? Cutting File, I can't wait to play more with it too! This is my current favorite layout so hope you all enjoy it!

You should be visiting from Kathy's blog, but in case you need to start from the start (LOL) you can head here.

For a chance to win $15 credit to the PPPR store, please become a follower and comment on EACH blog. For an extra chance to win...please "like" us on FB and/or sign up for the PPPR newsletter! A random winner will be chosen for the prize on Tuesday, June 17. For anther chance to get some cash for the shop, please see below and join our monthly challenge.

 Now onto the layout...

(the tiny bird cuts were leftover from another project, not PPPR but I didn't want to waste them or have to think I could hold onto them without loosing them!)

Now I did do some light inking on the edges of a few things but decided to do something different and played with my Spectrum Noir markers on things like the mountains, sun and clouds. Easiest to spot are the mountains below. And yes...I gave Mr. Big Foot rosy cheeks (it was a long walk!)

Can you tell the little bits of stamping on the suitcases and tags?

Next hoppy stop...Melisa! Thanks for stopping in!

 Papers~

Mr. Coffee June 9 ~PPPR Design Team~

Mr. Coffee
Oh my gosh! Monday! This Monday is here...the LAST Monday of the school year! GULP! The next Monday school mooring means I'll have a 3rd grader, 4th grader AND a kindergartener! All 3 of my babies in school!

 W H A T!?!

Crazy, time goes by crazy fast! It does!

So fast honestly that I barely have time to put together this post! But I will share pictures of these kinda cute, kinda quickie Father's Day cards for my daddy's in my life. Today is my Design Team post day for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon, so you'll find these photos shared there today (well on the blog).
Shoot! I cracked the glasses! LOL! I simply couldn't seem to get a good photo of the Glossy Accent liquid glue used as "glass" in the glasses. When I thought this was dry and had laid them under a book to flatten out a bit and when I pulled it off...I "broke" the glass. Too late to go backwards though so my father in law will still be getting this! =)
