HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year

 Hi darlings!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and had nice, safe evening last night!
Not sure about you all...but gosh, I hope that 2015 is not the same year as before! Not a healthy year for us and ready to turn a new page (to say the least!)

Well I am sharing my card today for the Die Cut Challenge...anything New Year over at Stuck on U Sketches! Hope you'll share your creations with us!

I was stuck as can be on this...plus, I've not felt well most of the month of December (yeah, most the month (ugh!) so I had a hard time getting back into the creative swing. Finally I figured to mix a bit of my die cuts going with my Silhouette and some Papertrey Ink dies. The final result, thank goodness, I was pleased with!

I simply layered some DCWV Glitz glitter paper behind my white die cut background and then added my frame (PTI dies) over some confetti (PTI die) and added a Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon die cut champagne bottle. Another Papertrey Ink item, my stamped sentiment on vellum. You Can Never Have Too Much Happy! =)

Well sweet! Glad to get moving on the right track for 2015...stick with me as I have so much to share coming up...lots of posts...which mean, I should probably finish this up and go create (so I actually have something to share! LOL!)

 See you soon! Hugs!

Sending Christmas Cheer Tag ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Merry Christmas Eve!

Seriously can not believe what day it is! We wait all year for the day to come and then it comes all together too quickly! So sad! LOL! But there's been a little too many December adventures and I'm ready for normal to return…if I could just keep up the tree and keep listening to the holiday music! Ha!

Today is my posting day for Craftin' Desert Divas. I've created a layered tag using the Tag It stamp set. I had started with the idea of simply off setting the back tag but it didn't show enough of the pattern. I finally too the plunge and cut the tag in half and after some fiddling, made myself a large tag! Ended up really liking the size and how it's a more significant project because of it!

I did some stenciling on my background after masking my image. And used Perfect Pearls for a little something in the background. I also traced the word Christmas with a glitter pen after using a post it to mask the sentiment so that it could be stamped in part like this.

As simple as my details are in the embellishments, boy did it take forever! I changed the ribbon colors a couple times. Added another jingle bell, then the ribbon. It ended up making the bottom of the tag feel too empty. My snowflake embellishment also took time as I tried to decide how many snowflakes to layer and what colors. So simple…and yet not so much! Ha!

Home Is Where The Heart Is ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon~

Home Is Where The Heart Is
Hi all! Today is my Design Team day at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon. As promised over at the shop blog, I have SO many more photos here to share. I didn't want to go overboard there, but this is my spot so I can be as obnoxious with my photo sharing as I want! But you'll see why…the details, the cut files are too darling not to share!

Admittedly I am not a journaling scrapbooker. Which is kinda funny because I really do enjoy writing. But I get into my designs and rarely ever think about writing. When I started creating this page, I knew I wanted to add a family photo from our recent Disneyland trip. With that said, I thought I may want to journal and then created a pull tag as the top of the mushroom winter house! It took some working to make but was really worth it!

Love the title, but will tell you that was a bit of a hiccup in the project. You'll notice "heart" is a different font. I tried using this file. But my machine kept eating up my paper and I ran out of the paper color I wanted and just ended up using stickers. So, the title IS inspired and partly used by the file! =)

These birth tree trunks are stunning in their detail! You can also see some punched snowflakes and some more "snow" added with a white gel pen.

Santa gnome- he is soooo sweet! And that lantern, I can't seem to stop using that in projects!

She is such a darling little mousie and so thoughtful to bring some hot chocolate to Santa!

Ok…ready for the list of files used! Get comfy! Hey…just noticed my "snow" hmmmm what file was that from? LOL!

(Santa gnome, lantern and house)

(cardinals and holly)

Exhausted yet? LOL! Thanks for letting me share! xoxo!

Merry Chickmas

Merry Chickmas!

Hopefully you will remember this post from last weekend, my blog hop project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon where I created another framed holiday gift. This project today was the second project I had made. This is to give to another one of my girlfriends…my chicken raising, 4H leading, chicken show-goer girlfriend! LOL! Both projects ended up very different but pretty in love with them both!

I added the twine border and burlap bow with the bells and berries.

In this close up you can really see the detail like the paper punched snowflakes in white and a soft grey. All die cuts are print and cut from my Silhouette Cameo.

Here are the files I used for this (with the except of a couple things, all files were from PPPR)

I have had the most amazing season so far creating holiday projects! I am so glad I have been able to do so much! This IS the most wonderful time of the year and I love doing seasonal projects! Yay!

Craftin Desert Divas Owl Card

Happy H-owl-idays
I have really been enjoying creating projects with the cute and silly set, Holly Day Punnies! A set that has so many holiday card sentiments for a variety of projects, it will keep you busy for years and years! To make the sentiment pop, I used a stamp from the must have set, Tag It! Both are must haves!

Oh my goodness, I just couldn't adore this set from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon any more then I do! Just had to switch his hat! LOL!

Click the link below the photo for a direct shot to purchase these sets!

Quick and quiet post from me today but glad to come and share! Hugs!

Winter Church Ornament ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge~

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon
CHRISTMAS BLOG HOP
can be found
HERE

Winter Church Ornament
So we have something new going on over at Stuck on U Sketches! Now EVERY single day you'll find inspiration at our site along with our regular Friday challenges. Each design team member has a posting day where they will share in detail their project for our challenges! So exciting! So make sure to stop by often or when you visit, stay awhile and take a look at a few posts at a time.
Our current Die Cut Challenge….Christmas! Hmmmm, think that's doable!
I have a simple (the word makes me sick sometimes, LOL, but actually, I happened to be sick and needed to still make a project- so there you go!) project to share today!
The best element is the glitter (beautiful but crazy messy) added to the "snow". To keep the ornament twine hanger in place, I used a bell inside the house as well as 3 more on top of the church. Even as I am looking at this, I am thinking of what little bits I can add to this later on..maybe a wreath or holly at the windows?

I was well impressed by the size of this, I did cut the file with the main house sized to fit fully on a 12x12 cutting mat. But still, a good size. So much that if I ever create with this again, there is room at add something inside the building too!

As always, you can find the original challenge posted on Friday's and there will be a link on our right sidebar to find that post and our challenge.
  Thanks for visiting today!

Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon Deck The Halls Blog Hop

For Dear Santa

Hello my holiday hoppers! So glad you are coming to visit today to hopefully join in our monthly Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon Design Team Hop where we share creations using the amazing files from the shop! Today our theme is merry indeed…CHRISTMAS

Just making sure I am your second stop and that you just came from PPPR? No, click and head back to start in the right direction.

The blog candy for this hop is a $15 GC to the PPPR store. For a chance to win, you must be a follower of each blog and leave a comment on each blog. For extra chances, you can also "LIKE" Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons on Facebook and/or sign up for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Newsletter. A random winner will be chosen for the prize on Tuesday, December 16.

This framed project is for one of my best friends for a Christmas present. She still has little ones so I thought this would be a good gift…and help lead Dear Santa to his sweets on Christmas night! =)

The background was a creation of my own using a snowflake image but just printing and not cutting. All my layers are inking so you can see those. Everything was print and cut on my Silhouette Cameo.
Oh..and I added LOTS of sparkly details!

Each clickable link under the photos below will take you directly to the file in the shop! Yay!

(used to create background paper on frame
and Print and Cut feature on Silhouette Cameo)

(used cutting tool to trim the hat off the elf to add to my cookie!)

Naughty or Nice? Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon

Naughty? or Nice?

I am so glad to be here today! Literally dancing around in anticipation to share my holiday projects with  you all this month!
This project is pretty much a paper only project but using lots of glitter paper and glitter glue helps the page fully come alive! As I often do in my layouts, if any of you are starting to notice, I love doing oversized elements on a page. It really allows Lisa's incredible cutting files to come alive and all those amazing details to be shown! This Santa on it's own is so special! Imagine just Santa in the middle of a holiday card with a great pattern paper behind him, it's all you would need!

I began with the Starburst Shapes Cutting Files background and then added my elements. Remember that when you are seeing a cutting file, think that you can often take the pieces apart to use separately. Just as I pulled the stack of gifts out of Santa's hands in the Jolly St. Nick Cutting Files (used one Santa and the gifts from the other Santa option). You'll see what I mean with the cutting file image at the end of the post.

For all you alcohol marker fans, don't forget that you can add detail to your die cuts using your marker. I added some grey shading to the white on Santa with my markers. As well as using a thin line of glitter to outline the white trim of his clothing.

Okay! This project is file heavy…here's what I used!

Really appreciate you visiting today while I'm on my way to Disneyland! Woot! Woot! =)
