Oh my gosh, can I tell you a bit about how dang long and difficult this card was? I had to practice to make sure the sun cap fit on Santa, then trying the sentiment out. The stamping, coloring and fussy cutting. Thank goodness it turned out okay! LOL!
And here is the fun, mixed sentiment created from 3 different sentiment stamps!
(beach sign, shells, sentiments and sun cap off of the boy)

I used Distress Inks as my watercolor. I squashed the ink directly to a non stick mat and added Perfect Pearls spray and water and painted away! The gold really makes this card classy as well and helped direct me to adding gold pearls into the flower centers.
I just used pieces and parts of the file below, kinda a mix and match thing.

Swim For Some Birthday Fun
Hey folks! Today is another team share day for Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party...celebrating birthdays! I decided to mix a couple sets and create this fun under water scene. This card was a bit of a labor of love but a total joy to create!
On these photos the effect is super subtle but I inked over a striped stencil on the back blue mat. Then used a confetti like stencil with texture paste. Sadly most of it is covered up with my stamping panel but still love the effect! I did also add some Stickle glitter dots to the white portion.
We always have great Linky Party goodies to give out for those that join us...stamps from CDD and a credit at Too Cute By Jessica!!!!!!
And the sets I've used today are...

The die cut tags are from Silhouette, I made my own solid background to show color in the cutout. I also created a layer to enforce the hole, which also added color. The porthole I made using design software, easy enough. The "ship" pattern on the tag was created using a ruler and markers. Note, the tone on tone shell I stamped in the bottom left corner?
The "it" part of the project was covering the entire colored stamped portion with Glossy Accents. Also the part that took a bit of extra time, both to cover the area and to allow it to dry. I cut multiple layers of the porthole to have it stacked and raised. My error was cutting the stamped circle a bit smaller. If you wanted to do this same thing, make sure that the stamped piece is the same dimensions as the entire porthole. There was a bit of a gap between the 2 pieces (stamped/glossy accents and porthole frame). I used a strong adhesive to glue these together and sat something heavy on top to ensure these stuck together well. Not a big deal but something to think about if I were to do something like this again.
I was able to use parts of each of our new mini sets! Yay!
(tone on tone shell on tag)
You can find all these sets, plus our entire new release
