Stuck on U Sketches Layout Challenge

Memories of You
Happy Friday! Coming by today to share a layout with you all and the current sketch I've designed for Stuck on U Sketches. Hope you like them both!
I have to say this layout is a rare one. It's bold and fun which I would say is part of "my style" but the "rare" part...there's not a single die cut thing to be found! Yes! Shocking, I know! Even though I rarely scrap this way, it's a nice break each time I do. Plus it's fun to really get the chance to go through my stash and shop what I have. Often in my more designed pages, there isn't total room to go nuts with embellishing. This was a different story though and I got lots of goodies added in!

I've added blooms from both Prima and Recollections as well as some sticker flowers from the Echo Park line I've used today. Because these photos were taken some years ago in Disneyland, I also added a few Disney ticket stickers. This is my first time using and it went so well with the paper, these new doilies.

Before I go much further. The base of my page DID make this sketch! It did! But at the end, I wanted even more small pops of color and then added some small scraps of papers (that look like more layering). So the green and yellow paper that looks like added layers in the background were the smallest of scraps!

   And of course! The sketch!

Looking forward to seeing what my talented girlfriends do with the sketch this time! You can find my project and daily other posts at SOUS! See you there!

Thank You Pencil Box ~Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party~

Thank You Pencil Box
And Craftin Desert Divas 3D Linky Party

Hey all! I am excited to share this project with you guys today! I was grumbling to my crafty bestie, Nanne, about how I wasn't feeling this project. I had the base pencil box going and then had nothing else in mind. But once the designing started to flow and then the time came to put this together. Well, I was super happy with how things turned out.

Well as the pic above said, this is for the monthly Linky Party at CDD! Just in case you didn't know, our awesome, talented and super sweet leader, Tara, gives you so many chances per month to win goodies. Our Linky Parties, stamp releases and blog hops! Pretty good stuff, huh?

As cute as the pencil box is alone, I wanted to do something a bit more for it and made this little tag. I thought about turning it into a card but it's pretty cute just stuck into the box. Honestly, I'm not even sure I can give this away..I may need to keep this for myself! LOL!

Well for this stamp set, I used my most often used (ever) set, Simply Said

Have a wonderful week and I'll be back soon to share a project featuring our January Stamp Release! Woohoo! See you again Wednesday!

Warm And Cozy With You ~SOUS Die Cut Challenge January 23~

Warm And Cozy With You

Today is my posting day and day to share our new Die Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches

...Warm And Cozy...

Thought this was a fitting challenge for this time of year! Plus opens you up to more then only winter projects if you are ready to move out of that theme...even if I chose to stick to it myself =)
When I go to my friends blogs, I always wonder who the people are. I think the fun in scrapping is seeing who their family and friends are. And this certainly is a family page. Top photo is my younger sister and her new hubby (2013 photo though and they were married just this past October). And the bottom photo is my older sister and her hubby. Was fun to scrap these guys!
I've had these snuggly critters in the Silhouette collection forever and always looked at them but finally just now used them! I had fun coloring ALL of my die cut pieces (other then the multiple background layers) with my Spectrum Noir markers and then adding some white gel pen for texture.

With the sun hiding in the mornings it's hard to see the glitter details added around the project. Just a bit and some more white gel pen doodling.

Hope you all have a great weekend! We are taking our new pup to a fellow puppy class and starting puppy classes soon! He's a little guy, plus a terrier so he thinks he's bigger and tougher then he is! LOL! I really want to start with good habits for this guy and I think my kids will learn a lot by attending the class with me too! Wish me luck! =)

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon

From Our House To Yours
Merry Christmas

Hi friends! I'm posting today to share with you all a winter card for my Design Team day posting at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon. I am pretty sure that I'll never tire from using the birch trees! One of my most favorite files from Lisa! They were the base for my long, business envelope sized card. This long style card is a favorite of mine, though I don't think I create enough with it. Designing with this size is refreshing and I think always creates a more unique card.

Last week I posted this post using markers to color all of my die cut pieces. I did a bit of that today as well. The cardinal and the red and pink on the bunny were all colored on white paper, as well as some shading added to the blue pattern paper pieces.

This just gives another option outside of all colored papers or even doing print and cut. Plus it's a way to get the most out of your markers. I use Spectrum Noir and like them because they are way, way cheaper then Copic.

To finish this off I added some punched snowflakes, white enamel accents for snow and a stamped and embossed sentiment on vellum. I wasn't thinking to make this exactly a Christmas card but thought the top of the card needed a detail and I didn't have any other stamp sentiment that I liked or had the right sizing..so it turned into a Christmas card anyways!

Birch Trees
Snow Peeps (snow cap on bunny)
Have a wonderful day and a great rest of your week. Remember to stop by often for more Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon goodness!

Seasoned With Love ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Seasoned With Love

Happy Saturday my friends! I am sharing a card today as my daily post for Craftin Desert Divas
One of the great privileges and joys of being on a design team is being challenges to look at stamps in a new light. Don't just see a stamp or a set as the themed bunch that may come together but look at each stamp with it's own capabilities.

You'll see below what I mean when you see the set. I wasn't sure which way to go but am excited to create another project with a winter theme, not Christmas, using the sweet deer in the set. As I said over at the CCD blog, how cute would the reindeer be on a winter birthday card!

Well as you can see...this is not a holiday card. But a card that I can see giving to a sweets loving girlfriend. All my added elements to the card were fussy cut from the pattern paper, other then the cookie jar.

I then masked off the sentiment on the actual cookie jar and added another sentiment from the set.

And here's the set! Cute, right?

Thanks for stopping in today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Here Comes The Fun ~Stuck on U Sketches January 16~

Here Comes The Fun
Today is the new sketch challenge other at Stuck on U Sketches.  Love creating sketches and sharing my projects with everyone!
I am also really enjoying the new format at sharing daily posts at SOUS. Nanne and I hope that you all are enjoying that as well. Sometimes you just want to pop online and just view some good projects. Well I think it is great to be able to get that in one place. Just plan on staying awhile when you do come and visit us!

I mixed some stamping in with the die cuts since otherwise it's all plain card stock. The tone on tone helped it from being too overwhelming and the black matting helps all the images pop.

And our newest sketch. Like I said over at SOUS, we've had requests for more then just single photo sketches. So hope this fulfills some of those requests!
