Easter Morning ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon~

Easter Morning

Happy Monday all! I'm sharing over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and as it's just before Easter  I definitely wanted to do something for the holiday. This is the first time I cut this Easter bunny (or anything from this file) and I am super excited for how it turned out! I think this bunny is just great and had originally thought about adding each of the great bunnies but then had the idea to do this one giant size and be the center of focus.

Since I wanted to use each of these photos from last years Easter morning and there wasn't room to trim these photos down from the original 4x6, I knew there wasn't a ton of room to scrap on the other side. So going big filled the space nicely and then banners add some interest and color on top to then balance the colors in the eggs. Another option would have been to do a colorful title (like the one in the set) instead of the banners. In case anyone has the notion to try a page similar.

As much as fun as this is, I still wanted to add some small detail or embellishment so when it doubt, glitter, baby! This added just the right something to finish off the project! See how happy Mr. Easter Bunny is?

   This file is SO fun!

   Thanks for visiting today! xoxo!

Thank My Lucky Stars ~SOUS March 27 Sketch~

Thank My Lucky Stars
It is a sketch reveal day over at Stuck on U Sketches! Hurray! For those that don't know we are posting daily at SOUS...it gives you the chance

It's also a B I G weekend here in the Bay Area, California as it's almost time for.... WRESTLEMANIA!!!!!!!!! I swore to my hubby who grew up watching this stuff that it would never (she stomps her foot) be watched in my house...but hey...half naked men...ok, fine. I guess I'll watch! LOL! Not only that, but my husband surprised me and got an extra ticket and so I'll actually be going to Wrestlemania on Sunday with him and our oldest. As if that's not big enough or cool enough..the following night the 2 guys are sitting 3rd row on Monday Night Raw. Get your DVR set people! They'll probably be on tv! =)
Ok, gosh...almost forgot the point here! My scrapbook page! And these boys...good grief. Those faces take my breathe away! I can't believe I get to be their mommy!

Many times I have my layouts, particularly pages that are mostly die cuts, designed out before creating. This time I kinda of played as I went along. It was really fun! Everything was finished and then at the end, added a few stickers here and there.

And here's the newest sketch! Hope you like, certainly had fun designing this for you all!

Well wish me luck during this big party weekend for us! LOL! See you soon!

It's a Celebration ~Craftin Desert Divas~

It's a Celebration

Happy Wednesday! Can't believe how fast these days are flying by! For real...I'm pretty sure it's going to be Summer before I blink. Not sure I'm ready for the Summer (ha, good thing since Spring just started, LOL!) Well I am sharing today on the Craftin Desert Divas blog and wanted to showcase some stamps with the cutest critters!

I mixed a couple jungle friends from February's stamp release and added this new giraffe! There's actually a full train and it's cute as can be! Then there is a matching sentiment set with this great extra gift on it so I snuck that in as well! A little bit of everything here! ;)

Right away I knew I wanted to color these in something a bit more untraditional. Like...a pink monkey! LOL! The hardest part was pulling paper that I liked but once I did and added the bow, it really came together for me! Then again, after taking the time to mask and create this scene, you could easily keep the project with this scene only on a card front.

Now that I am at the point of readying this blog post...I am realize that I was so excited about this project that I did my photographs with wet glitter! Do you notice how 3D it is? It normally is flat and much more glittery when dry! Gosh, this is making me giggle! Certainly not the first time, or surely, the last that I'll do this! ;)

And check out these sets! These are my favs!

   Have a wonderful day friends!

To Dye For ~Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party~

To Dye For

Today I am sharing a project for the Craftin Desert Diva Linky Party...Easter, Linky Party! Always so much fun to see what the girls create AND...what all you fabulous crafters share with us in return! Love!

I haven't done too much for layouts while on the CDD team and started to think, I needed to get my head outside of the "card" box! So I created a layout today to share and used the stamps as background paper! This was fun for me to go in this direction because I didn't own any "easter" sentiments so this made me think differently about what I have, and I love that!

This project was a bit of a love, hate thing going on. The background came together easily. The paint splatters and spray on the background. My "stamped" pattern paper...but then the last details were dragging. Luckily these cute little bunnies saved the day!

I stamped the lamb and kept it simple like this to mimic the pattern paper behind it and then animals that were stamped in a color outline but not further colored in. But then, the next photo, colored the duckies to match the paper of the other layered photo.

Here is the set I used today...

Don't leave without hearing about our Linky Party prizes! Yay!

Let The Fun Begin ~Stuck on U Sketches Die Cut Challenge, Garden~

Let The Fun Begin

Hi all! Sharing today our new challenge reveal for Stuck on U Sketches

Not sure if you caught but we changed our rules for these challenges. We want to see ALL your projects that follow whatever theme we have...and there just needs to be "some" die cutting on the page. So stamping, stenciling, etc all will count! Just let us know when you make your post, what on the project is the actual die cut.
We can't wait to see what you all start sharing with us!

Pretty much going to stay pretty quiet today because there is just so much going on with this layout...so enjoy the pictures and don't worry about all my normal chattiness! =) LOL!

Last years bridal photos from my youngest sister wedding shower. It was an incredible lovely affair! And obviously these two young girls were taken with their auntie getting married. My niece, Maddie and this little blonde, my daughter Jordyn.

   Also...a little shout out...

HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY to my spit-fire daughter! Never a dull moment being your mom! ;)
