Happy Harvest Project Life ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon~

Hi there y'all!  I'm happy to be sharing a layout done a bit more Project Life style for my favorite die cutting design shop, Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon. I love the options they sell now for divided 12x12 page protectors. I feel like it's just something a bit different and that's always fun to do! I bought a pack of these page protectors and they came with a few options. This is the first time using these sizes.
This little cutie is my youngest...we were up Saturday night with the sickies but he was feeling better in the morning and shot me this...oh yeah, you are cool buddy! LOL! When I was choosing images to create this with, the little scarecrow jumped out at me. Too darling not to use!

I was able to sneak in a few files here...check them out!

I love that you can purchase these files and feel confident that they can all be used together! I never tire of these sets!

Thanks so much for coming by today! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party- Favorite Color Combo

Aw Shucks, Happy Birthday!

Hiya friends! Today is a Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party day! Hope you've enjoyed this challenge and we look forward to checking out more of your projects! You can find our party here

I used a ton of sets to create this masked stamping card. I had the idea and then sat around for some time trying to decide if I was going to actually attempt it! LOL! I laid the stamps out to arrange them and get the idea going. Then stamped and cut out each tiny piece and then laid that together. And then...actually started the card! Yeah, it took that much! But I'm so happy to have stuck with this because it's pretty darn cute!

Colored with Spectrum Noir markers and a glitter pen for some added details and then sweet card was complete! Oh...do you see the background on the white paper? My cherry and birthday present stamped background? That was a last thought but ended up my favorite part, go figure! =)

Chihuahua Birthday Cake ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon~

Hey all! Sharing today on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon blog. I created this birthday card for a special little girl! I asked her mom a bit about her so created this with a few of her favorite things in mind. And then blinged it up where I could! This birthday cake file, along with the candles is one of my all time favorite die cuts and I find there are unlimited ways to use them!

I heat embossed the background for more interest and shine and then went a little crazy with the wink of stella and other glitter accents. To add dimension to the card I cut multiple layers of the birthday cake. I love how that makes the cut more substantial.

And the adorable cutting files I used...

Craftin Desert Divas Fall Project Life

Halloween Project Life

Howdy friends! I'm here to share something created using CDD stamps. I decided I need to start playing with pocket scrapbooking pages. You can purchase page protecters that come divided into different arrangements. I have found that working with these smaller areas really lends well for adding stamped images. I plan to share more of these with you in the future! Hope you like!
.

I wanted the scarecrows to be holding hands but have the crow sitting in between them. So that's where a bit of masking came into play. The fussy cutting on this page is what took the most time but the end result was worth it. If you click on the photo below you can see the coloring a little bit better. I did some cross hatching on the faces and hats to provide some texture and make these look a bit more like they were fabric. The faces you can see better in real life of course.

I have found an easy way to add words or sentiments to a project when die cutting it to add and weld a line under the word. The single piece is much easier to handle and you can design that any size. Just group and weld.

And here are the sweet sets I used...

Buggie Lunch Box Notes ~Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party~

Buggie Lunch Box Notes

Hi there! Ho there! CDD is hosting our second round of projects for our current Linky Party. So I get to share my projects with you today. As usual we have PRIZES to give away if you join us...a stamp set of choice for the shop or some $$$ for Too Cute by Jessica. Good luck!

This isn't my first time creating these little cuties...well, not that you can tell from looking but I mean the card base. I used the Fancy Frame dies to cut these, they are pretty small which makes them perfec to pop in a lunch box or even add onto a gift bag. You can see another variation of this design turned into a shaker card/tag here

Easy enough challenge so I expect to see from a lot of you! ;)

And some single shots of these sweeties...

Can you tell how these die cuts were colored?

One of my very favorite techniques is doing all my cutting on white card stock and then coloring with my makers...or watercolor...lots of ways to do this! This is a wonderful way to practice your coloring and stretch your supplies!

Here is a side shot so you have an idea what the card/tag looks like...maybe I need to do a tutorial?

(for all sentiments)

   Happy Monday wonderful friends!!!
