Birdhouses ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons~

Happy Monday everyone! I'm sharing a project featuring the birdhouse trio from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon. I was so excited to use these darling cut files! I kept the whole page pretty simple but set these in front a birch tree forest. I inked the birch trees slightly so they would stand out against the background a bit more. I love how the subtly print on the background paper also just adds a little bit more interest then having used all solids.
I added just a few areas with Stickles glitter glue to dress these up but didn't go overboard. Which wasn't easy! And lastly, I added some chipboard pieces that were just the perfect color scheme.
Hope you liked this! Here are the files I used...

No Line Genie Card ~Craftin Desert Divas~

Hey guys! I'm posting with you today and sharing a card featuring Your Wish that was just released this week at Craftin Desert Divas! This longer styled, business sided card was a fun to create
and the bigger size makes it unique. Unique makes it more fun to give to someone, if you ask me! ;)

These beautiful images were stamped in the no-line style and colored with Prisma colored pencils. The clouds were hand drawn. I added some color into each cloud for fun and then a scattering of hand drawn glitter pen flecks. Super tickled each time I play with this set, I'm sure you guys are already fans!

Your Wish
Kinda quick post today but this cutie pie card stands on it's own! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Craftin Desert Divas August Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Craftin Desert Divas August Release Blog Hop. We have some wonderful stamps and dies that we will be sharing with you.

All stamps are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

We also offer SVG stamp outlines for .99 they work perfectly with your cutting machine. You must have a program that opens these files. This is a great alternative to coordinating dies and much less expensive.

Here's what I've created for you...

I had spent so much time coloring these that I was hesitant to add them to a card and that's where this layout started! Because I don't do it often enough, I used divided pocket protecters and was able to just add my photos. The idea came when I was going through old photos and reminiscing about my littles (school starts today so I was in a mood, LOL). The title idea and the stamps were just a perfect mix!

All images were colored with Prisma colored pencils.

   Digi's available in the shop!

Here are the specials for this release:

Ok, sometimes some projects just flow and I have to say that I really enjoyed making this one. No challenges, pretty simple. It was a good time. I used an old October Afternoon paper pack and watercolored with my Kuretake palette. I wanted to highlight the stamping so I concentrated the pigment around the image and my hand drawn balloon and then washed the color out as it drew away.

I used the Mix It Up dies that I created for CDD to create the shaker and then added a couple other die shapes for interest using the Fancy Frame die. And of course, these amazing sequins! I also did a bit of masking to get the sentiment I wanted to use from Punny Farm.

Here are all the CDD products I used:

Ok so today is the first day of school! Wow! Can I tell you all what today's a significant day in my life actually. Today marks 12 years (and only a week off) of having kids at home. Today, all 3 kids are in school full time. No more little ones at home during the week days. 12 years it's taken to get to today. Both of my son's repeated kindergarten, so I did 3 years in a row, 2 years off and then another 2 years. Most of those years I had to do to school a few times each day, not including days that I volunteered. I'm telling you...this is huge! A new chapter in the life of this momma! Thanks for letting me share!

Clothed in Strength & Dignity ~Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons~

Hi Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons fans, I'm pleased to be sharing this layout with you all today. It's a simple design but striking. I cut 3 oversized monarch butterflies and created my own masked background. I used one of the many beautiful background cut files offered in our shop. You can make something that could be reusable (like cutting stencil paper or something similar) but for this project, I wasn't worried about that. It worked just fine with paper, but with the texture paste did warp the paper so I had to work quickly. Which is part of working with texture paste anyhow. This simple design was created to highlight this photo of my daughter and my niece.
Here is a close up of the stunning butterflies.
This photo shows the super cool background!

I am not much for journaling but the whole point in this page is really reflected in the journaling. I want to empower and teach my daughter, my niece who are the 2 most precious girls in my life that nothing will beyond them when they lean into their Creator. That they were created, planned far before their lives and are perfect in every way. Dignity and Strength be with them all their days.
Here are the PPPR files I've used today.

Christmas in August ~Craftin Desert Divas~

I'm posting over at Craftin Desert Divas today and I created a fun and quick holiday card. I used the July release holiday stamp set. I'll admit, kinda obsessed with it! What made this go a bit more quickly was using my Silhouette to die cut my sentiment. Backed with a fun holiday print. Then I added my svg stamped images. Colored with Prisma colored pencils. I framed the sentiment and rounded the card out by adding the large candy canes.
I am really a fan of the colored pencils with this it a cool, rustic charm.
Simple and darling little card! Here is the stamp set I've used on today's card, from our July release.
Sweet Season
Well my friends, we are on a serious countdown until school! Just a bit over a week! So quick post and off to hang with the kiddos! Thanks for visiting!
